Awesome. I was looking for a way to create a suggestion box with voting. For example like users to suggest a name for the intranet and others can vote for a name if they like proposed names. Any ideas if we can use a discussion board for this use case?
Hi there, you could use a SharePoint list to collect suggestions and enable rating settings to permit users to vote with likes or stars. See this article for more information on how to do this. sharepointmaven.com/how-to-rate-and-like-items-and-documents-in-sharepoint/ - Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Yes the discussion board web part is a legacy web part that doesn't have a modern experience as with other Sharepoint Online web parts. Thanks for comment and for watching!
I'm glad you found this helpful! Unfortunately you cannot moderate comments using any specific functionality. As a Site Owner you can delete comments that you don't want to be displayed but there is no out of the box approval step before a comment is visible to other users with permission.
No matching results found. Built-in apps such as Custom List, Document Library, Calendar and others can be found in the classic experience. Once you switch up to classic experience you will eventually find it.@@ImpGimp
Hi Zulmi, sorry for the delay. Can you clarify your question? Are you trying to add the discussion board to a page of the SharePoint site that it was created on? Thanks!
@@designmycity Hi there, I just finished recording the tutorial demonstrating how this can be done. I will likely be posting it early next week. Be sure to subscribe to receive the notification when its live.

Hi there, Site Owners can add web parts to a SharePoint Site. You don't need to be an Administrator to add this app. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
This video outlines how to create a discussion board. Once created you can add it to different parts of your site. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
Hi there, unfortunately this is not something I can help with. I'd suggest to speak with your Sharepoint administrator or IT department to determine with the app is not available. Thanks for watching
You would need to switch the Team site to the classic experience and then add the discussion board web part. While not 100% applicable, this tutorial demonstrates how you can switch an entire Site to the classic experience: studio.ru-vid.com2uI6Hf1Vzx4/edit
Hi there, apologies for the delay. The content posted in a SharePoint Discussion Board is included in search results when using the site search bar. Beyond this, unfortunately there is no app specific search function. I hope this helps & thanks for watching!
Hi there, yes this app can be added to a Teams site. To add it, you will need to switch the Classic SharePoint experience. I will be posting a very short tutorial in the next week or so outlining how to do this. Thanks for watching!
