How to Add or Remove a Leaf Spring 

Sounds cool. If it’s done right it will be decent. Obviously there is a reason why when people do that they link them. But have fun!

Hry! so i used wagoneer rear springs on all 4 corners. they are 57 inches long and almost match the weight of a jku perfectly.

Probably not. It depends on which side the but is on…obviously if the axle is under the spring it won’t happen. But if it’s over the spring and the nut is in the bottom it is possible. But to be safe, you really shouldn’t do it with weight on it. And you HAVE to be certain it’s the overload spring.

@@WarPaintOffroad axle is on top. Bought the car with constant load springs but it's too hard on my bumpy road. I better get my mechanic mate to have a look

You can do it a bunch of ways. Or a combination. A longer shackle is one way. But a 3 inch longer shackle will give you only about 1.5 inches of lift. So not much. A different spring completely is an option too. It those often don’t ride as nicely as factory unless you move the mounts on the frame. You can also move the spring to the top of the axle instead of having it in the bottom. That will also change the ride height by a fair amount (this is referred to as a spring over). If the spring is already on top…you can put a lift block under it (although I don’t recommend that). So lots of options.
