How to adjust motorcycle shocks

If you don’t have a spanner wrench with the hook on it to adjust the preload on your motorcycle shocks, you can use a belt wrench. This particular one is called the Python but any brand will work just fine. Remember to put the belt right over the holes for better traction & grip.

That’s a good tip. It might keep someone from scratching up their socks. I’m in the market for new rear shocks, any recommendations? I just put the stiffer progressive springs in the front of my Vrod. I love those. Performance over comfort if I’m leaning more one way than the other.
