So as may of you know from watching, I have a new driver. Yes a new teenage driver. While I think he is a good driver, I don't want him driving as fast as this car will go. SO, in this video I am going to show you how to adjust the top speed of your kids car. This is a simple process and I know it will work on 1996 and up GM vehicles. I believe that HP Tuners also has support for several other models if you check out their website. I also adjusted the rev limiter to hopefully keep the car together longer and out of the shop. I know how I was as a new teenager with my drivers license and I would speed everywhere I went. I didn't have a vehicle that would go fast however. Limiting the speed of a new 16 year old driver in my opinion keeps them from doing bad things and getting hurt before they are experienced. This is very simple and if you don't want to try yourself there are several tuning shops out there that can do it for you. I set the top speed of his new car to 70 but you can make it whatever you would like. I also made it so the car will not rev over 4000 rpms.
