This videos shows the steps on how to adjust clipper blade tension, featuring Nebraska Blades' Deluxe Socket Setter, Clipper Blade Scale and Spring Tension Pliers. Instructor: Bob Schiessl
Been searching for the reason my blades stop cutting and nobody out there knows the damn answer....until now. This was apparently exactly what I needed to do. Thank you for the demo.
All these tools are available to be purchased on our website or you may call us at 877-643-4885. We do also have a Clipper repair DVD that is an 1.5 hour long. Thanks Bob.
Bob, Do you sell these tools to fix clippers? My company is South Florida Sharpening. I would like to expand on my mobile business to fixing/adjusting clippers, in addition to sharpening.
What an stupid crimping tension spring makes metal fatigue on the bend of the spring .When blades are cutting on animal furr the spring motion goes up and down and soften spring to collapse. Never crimp tension spring on the bend. There's other way to increase tension without crimping.
"Special tools"? lol A 5/8" piece of bar stock and a pair of slip joint pliers. Hardly anything special. Just an advertising ploy to mark up readily available items to sell to the unsuspecting customer.
