This is really interesting to me because I've been seeing myself a certain way, but thinking about my own handwriting while watching this video, graphology would tell me I'm a totally different person from that. But when I think about it, the analysis isn't wrong because it's revealing the part of me that's... I dunno. Truer. And somehow survived the judgment I've passed on myself. I've always liked my writing, but this is the first time I feel like it's precious.

About slant, what if you angle the paper so your slant is rightward on purpose? I was taught to do that, but when I place it straight it's leftward, so idk how to analyse

From what i know is that if you have ADD / ADHD your handwriting's slant changes and the writer tends to mix all caps with lower caps, people with adhd also have illegible handwriting and the baseline is bit more wavy then a normal person (this does not mean the writer is emotionally chaotic in this case it just means being kind of messy and irregular) ofc im not saying that if someone has this type of handwriting they automatically have adhd these are just some indicators i found interesting Edit 1: ok im going to keep adding points that people tell me in the replies so if you have any interesting pointers dont forget to reply so i can add it here! :) Edit 2: @Your local flat iron ty for replying! People with adhd usually write quicker

I think that we have to analyze handwriting in cultural context, my foreign parents for example had to write with an angle in school and know can not write straight. In general I find it really hard to differentiate between natural and learned behavior

I know this is a lot, but this is kind of similar to my handwriting. I've been watching your videos for a while, and I finally know enough to do a handwriting analysis, but I have lots of questions. Also, my handwriting is very different at home and in public (school). I would also love to know more about stressed handwriting or emotional distortion and turbulence. So, apparently I have a lot of self respect since even my private writings are very legible 😂 Contained anger/stress, but also genuinely friendly. Average to low self-esteem. Imaginative with eye for detail. Generally emotionally stable. Friendly, but cautious. That's what I get from my handwriting based on this😅 This is such an interesting topic. I absolutely love these videos and her graphology tips. I have used these so much in life. I started writing a comic and try to use graphology to further communicate the characters' moods and personalites for people like Leah who could pick up on these things.

i need you to know that i did a surface-level handwriting analysis and a surface-level natal chart (like, astrology) analysis for my friends and they lined up perfectly! the most notable for me is that the margin spaces and baselines looked like their natal chart (i.e., their baselines tend to go downward, the planets on their chart is in the lower half) idk i just thought this was super super cool

loved the video! about the i dot trait - i noticed that, for example, when i write “ie” combo, especially if i'm writing fast, my i dot becomes one stroke with the “e”'s middle line. what does it mean? and i would love a video about graphology with learning disabilities and like neurodiversity as a whole! i have adhd and asd and i wanted to comment about doing a video about this for a while now, but i forgot lol also another idea: how does being left-handed affect handwriting analysis? as a leftie - i'm very curious :]

First off, I have ADHD and looking back down to what I wrote, it all makes much more sense with that context. My note-taking handwriting is very angular. And my hands are very tense. However, my regular handwriting can be curvy. I have a lot of distortions such as adding lines where no letter goes there (when note-taking), as well as letters I just do differently to how they're usually done. I also sometimes add a random capital letter without realizing. My handwriting tends to be very firm on the page, both when I'm trying to be Very Legible for an assignment or Very Fast in class. My slant changes on a whim. Used to be to the right only, now it's to the left as well, and when I'm taking my time, there's no slant at all. My I is like a lowercase L most of the times. Could put them next to each other and not tell a difference, like Il. My legibility fully depends on whether I'm taking notes, writing for someone else, leisurely writing for myself and CREATIVE MODE. Both note-taking and CREATIVE MODE are near completely illegible, most of the times, while the other two are pretty legible. I never, at any single point EVER, dot my 'i's. I feel it's a waste of time and a waste of hand movement lmao you can get the idea from the general shape of the word that it's not an L. And if not. Well. L to you. My t lines also vary a lot, but when in fast mode, I don't even lift the pencil to cross it out. Just the sorta loopy l and then loop back up and cross and go where I came from. Suppose it could be confused with a b under the wrong light. Anyway I just wanted to compare the video to myself.

I seem to have a lot of those broken forms, though I think I used to have them in my handwriting a lot more frequently. Could you maybe explain and elaborate on what "emotional distortion" particularly means? Sounds rlly intriguing

around midnight, i watched my first video of yours and it reaaally caught my interest. and now here i am, almost four hours later😂 i should really go to sleep

I often have to write on very curved surfaces with thick markers for work. Lower case Es and upper case Rs turn out much more legibly in that specific writing topology. But now I do it all the time because I’ve grown accustomed to it. I’m sure graphology would label me a lunatic for many of my writing habits, but they just come from an unusual writing environment. Just something else to think about.

I would be interested in how trauma influences graphology - and compare before and after the trauma - and most importantly can we see healing in the handwriting? Cheers, thanks for sharing.

Alas I’m a bit late to the video, but something I noticed in my handwriting is that the dominant zone changes when I write my friends’ names (specific I know lmao) Usually my writing is very upper zone dominent with a bit of a larger lower zone, but the other day when I wrote out my friend’s username I noticed I made the first letter larger and the rest of it was very middle zone centric. Which I suppose would make sense, I talk to them a lot / are very social with them and think highly of them, but it was just interesting to notice

Damn, i analysed 13 pages of my new diary (I've filled only 13 rn) and i saw more than 20 times the usage of small i to refer myself. There are places where i did use capital I but that maybe the habit due to the English rules studied in the entire schooling. I did tell a friend of mine that i think I'm not that great that i need a capital letter to adress myself. But maybe there's a huge difference between "need" and "deserve"....but yeah, subconsciously i do think i don't deserve things...maybe i don't deserve anything 😂

I can relate with the talent being underrated with this.

I'm analyzing a friend's school notes. their slant varies at first, then eventually and abruptly goes completely left. I'm not sure what this indicates, possibly repression of aggression?

This is very interesting and fun to watch. I do however wonder if I’m the only one who’s scared that they‘ll manipulate themselves into writing differently so that others may perceive you differently? If that makes sense? Anyone or just me?

As I'm listening to this, each step and description of a particular style brings to mind the handwriting of someone I know and it's so spot on. This shit is wild.

This is really intresting and the first time I'm hearing about handwriting playing a part in getting an in-depth look at someone's inner self. I find this more intresting because I change between two types of writing style. Print with a few curves on my 'y's and 'g's, just anything with a tail. My main handwriting is cursive joint with again those curves with tails of letters and letters like 'f' with the tail wrapped and not having the line through the letter. My 's' aswell with the tail curving even when not being joint. I care a lot about my handwriting because I love writing but I often feel self conscious cause their isn't many that actually like to write in cursive and that often causes miss communication because it can be hard to read for some people. Sometimes my letters drop under the line, or just too cramped together to form a coherent word.

So far looking at my own handwriting: 1. Angles/curves I have a LOT of angles in my writing, but with some curves hiding. like w, n, e, m and s are all really round, while o, d, b, g, a and p are very angular. O being the worst as it is almost pointy. 2. Distortions My handwriting is mixed tangled and untangled. no odd distortions. 3. Line quality. My lines are quite firm, borderline too much. 4. Slant. Mixed. Sentences have slanted back, straight and slanted forward. 5. Personal pronoun I Always lowercase. 6. Opinions. i don’t write about my feelings. Because when i do, it becomes illegible. Pretty much doctors handwriting. 7. Legibility. Crows feet, but legible. i mainly write notes or learning material for myself. 8/9. Letter specifics (i, k and t) i dots: high, slightly ahead and occasionally slashed. random capital K: no random K T bars: low, long and curved connection to the bottom. 10: Signatures. I’ll have to check the video xD my signature is vastly different from my handwriting.

I was always so confused as to how people's handwriting turns out to be anything different than the typical text we all trace as kids to learn how to write letters. Like how do you suddenly go from tracing perfect letters exactly how they should be to crazy curves or different shapes. It seems automatic to just stick with how it was taught.

I noticed the size of my "I" is usually the same size or sometimes smaller as the other letters. But sometimes my I's are a little bigger if there' a word with a capital letter just before it because I'm trying to make sure the I is the same height as the other capital letter. If the word with the first letter capitalized come after the I, that word usually takes the same size of the I, with some exceptions. Some of my capital letters are the same size as lower case words, especially my Ws for some reason which I just noticed lol.

The Queen of Handwriting yesssssssssssss

A lot of times I've got outside factors, especially the point. If it's fine, I write smaller, neater unless I've been writing for awhile. If thick, or if the ink is low with a pen, the texture changes which turns it very sloppy and to an extent it makes me giggle. Other writing traits come from old habits, I picked up writing one letter a very specific way from the way a teacher did it in grade school, and I'd place the line lower on the t's partly from mental exhaustion from forcibly writing cursive (that line height costs energy, man) and also thought it was "pretty" anyway. Now I cant shake the habit so many years later, it depends on my mood or wrist's conditions on where I put the line now before it defaults to lower. I also noticed the slant and letter size can change from line to line whether I'm running out of focus or not. I'm an adhd-er if that helps. It turns out nicer with the right pencil and some warmups 😆 I no longer get annoyed with the inconsistency. Graphology is a fun thing to research but theres still not a whole lot out there, thanks for this

Hey leah! i was wondering, I have a good self image of and am comfortable with myself. My T and F bars are mid to high yet I seem to never capitalize my i's. I was wondering if that said anything? I my current theory is I tend to write quickly and sometimes three strokes seem more work than a line and a dot, is this just a personal choice and therefore means nothing? Or is there more to it? appreciate you leah! You got me into one weird but niche and cool hobby!!

I am literally one handed and have bad arthrtis in my working hand . I tend to use angles more when m arthritis is flaring up, but it's not the norm. This could change daily, depending on the pain. How does that change the analysis. Also, my grandmother had very bad arthritis and her writing changed "more permently"with age. Do you take that into consideration when analyzing?

I neglect to finish letters. Sometimes my 'a's look like 'c's which is so telling. I have terrible follow through and never finish tasks :/ I'm also really sloppy, h and k look similar same with u and v Edit: capital k's lines are usually not touching and the dot over my i is indeed very far up. (these are only true for when I write notes for myself. I am meticulous when I write to others

What about the way that somebody's handwriting looks in conjunction with the lines on a page, if there are lines? Does that indicate anything? For example, I have a habit of writing above the line that I just can't seem to shake off.

The dotting of the i is interesting to me, but I have not heard anybody mention would it means when you do not dot your i's at all? I used to make bubble eyes in my teen years, but now I don't even dot them at all, but I have no real reason as to why lol.

Look at how they hold the pen. Do they hold it correctly with the pen lightly pinched between the index finger and thumb, resting on the middle finger? Or do they hold it wrong with the thumb wrapped over the pen and index finger causing the index finger to do all the work and stiff because the wrist is locked? I’m sure that makes a difference in the writing and how it’s written.

i use small i for aesthetic reasons XD but that still kindda applies to me tho

What would you say about a person whose lowercase i's completely lack the dot in the majority of their writing?

What does a back slant mean if you don’t have trauma? I have a very gentle back slant in most of my writing, although there are times when it’s straight.
