In school here in the US, all basic entry level courses are numbered 101. Then, the next class is 201, etc. It's a tradition so 101 became synonymous with learning the basics.

"That's literally taken us, what, 10 minutes?" Yeah, for the front only! It takes more to wash the car then wax it. But much less than traditional waxing and its a great product, I love it. I have a KIA Stonic, its not BMW or Mercedes, but its 1 year old and with the spray wax it shines like a diamond. Greaf funny video!

probably the best all around product ever. I use base coat of the liquid version then apply this each time I powerwash. The gloss fades a bit over a few months due to dirt getting trapped in the coating, but the water-beading never goes away.

101 refers to entry level or base level university courses. We also say as easy as abc or as easy as 123.

I havent pressured water at home. For the 2nd layer, can I just water from bucket or unpressured hose?

In Universities, classes are coded and usually the first number is the year. So, for example, Programming 100 would be the very first course of a freshman in a computer science college. (In mine it actually was). So generally 101 means "i troductory", or "for freshman"

I am a huge meguiars fan I have used many products over the years But this is the only one That disappointed me when i used it by the instructions It just wouldn't last over a month So now i use it on a dry surface like most of the sealants and waxes on the market And it lasts from 3 to 6 months I wasted two bottles trying to understand why it wouldn't last.so to anyone who just bought it Use it on dry paint And thank me later

Let's say you don't have access to a hose or running water, I've seen this product being applied via a wet microfiber, would you recommend that or Fast Finish?

I've used this product a couple of times and I find it to be an excellent water repellent. But, during the dry season ,the layer of ceramic wax quickly attracts dust onto the car which leads me to think that this product does its job best on rainy days only.

completely agree and thought I was doing something wrong. I'd have a great shine and protection for only one or two days. then it would have dots of dust everywhere.

@@davehHH1 probably just needs a hose off and the water beading should take away the dirt perhaps. That's kinda how they talk about it's self cleaning when driving at speed in the rain.

I tried base coat as per videos, somehow didn’t work, was not impressed, applied two more times n rinsed but not impressed. Finally applied my old favourite wax on top n it did wonders. Will try on other car n see

Hey there , great video's btw. Keep it up!!! Quick question , do I need to wet the paint work before applying the initial hybrid ceramic wax after polishing?

If you are referring to the Hybrid Ceramic Wax in the blue spray bottle, yes the surface needs to be wet. You need the water to dilute and help spread the product. Putting it onto a dry surface might make for a very difficult application/removal. We do not recommend most of our products be used if it is less than 55 degrees. They do not become harmful at lower temperatures however they can become much more difficult to apply and remove.

That’s because water provides some sort of lubrication and because ceramic wax is thicker than for exemple the quick detailer

Although there is certainly not requirement to use two different waxes on your vehicle if you choose to do so you should apply the other wax first follow by the Hybrid Ceramic Wax as it will work on top of any other existing wax, sealant, or coating. That is not the case if used in the opposite order. Which wax you choose to use before the Hybrid Ceramic Wax is entirely up to your personal preference.

How can you stack this product with other Mequiars protection products; would you be wasting your synthetic wax if you applied it on before or after the si02 product, can you even do that and have proper results. Any guidance would help here?

Since this product mainly focuses on protection, we are finding most users are using it as their final LSP (last step product), topping their more traditional liquid/paste, to benefit from the characteristics of both products, and with Hybrid Ceramic Wax, the protection.

Is it normal to see 'grey spots' of the product when you spray it onto the car? I used this product having done a clean, clay, compound, polish and noticed there are spots of product that were dispensed in the mist that came out of the bottle. Thank you

It can be a little thick and clump together a little when sprayed. As long as you follow the application instructions and those "spots/small clumps" spread out and rinse/wipe off you should be fine. 👍

Certainly have a good coat of wax will help but the best thing you can do is simply remove it as quickly as possible before it has a chance to bond more stubbornly.

I used the Ultimate Wash&Wax shampoo and then the Hybrid ceramic wax and I got it on my windows too. Probably I didn't power wash it away before it started drying, and now I can't clean the streaks from the windows. Used an entire bottle of Meguiar's Glass Cleaner with no success. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that. First you should simply try washing the windows again. If that doesn't work you can try a mixture of dish washing liquid and water. A certainly a compound will do the trick if for some odd reason it is more stubborn that either of the other two methods can fix. 👍

I used product for the first time this past week. However, didn't get the results that is giving most people. Is probably because I din't apply the initial application when using the product for the first time. What can I do in regards to that? Should I just reapply the initial coating or should I a degreaser and then reapply the initial coating?

You can just start from the beginning and apply it as is recommended for the initial application. You do not need to strip anything.

Yes, that is correct. It is designed to bond best to paint meaning although it is safe on many other exterior surfaces like glass, chrome, plastic, etc. we certainly cannot guarantee the same results/benefits. Although it is certainly not necessary to use two different waxes it also works fairly well on top of any other wax, sealant, or coating.

Do you do a ceramic coating after you have used the liquid wax?

Application of a ceramic coating typically requires a bare surface free of another other waxes, oils, etc. so no you would not apply a wax first. You would however do any paint correction and polishing prior to application of a coating.

Yes, all of our waxes are designed to protect against a number of environmental factors that affect your paint including the sun.

It is diluting the product and spreading it across the surface. A little different application than traditional but we promise it works this way. You will even see it happen when you do it.

Hi, I’ve been using Meguiar’s Compound, Polish & Detailing Wax for ages and built up a nice finish on my XK8. Where does the Hybrid Ceramic Wax come in? Is this instead of the Polish and Detailing Wax? Or can this be used on top of the Detailing Wax? What benefits do I gain?

This product can be used in replace of your current wax or an additional added protection to your vehicle. For the most amount of protection and water beading properties we'd suggest apply our Hybrid Ceramic Products on top of your existing wax.

We cannot recommend a dry application of this products as the water is very important to help dilute and spread the product. Using it dry could make for very difficult application and removal.

No it will not add gloss to matte paint. Although safe on plastic it is designed to bond to paint so likely will not perform as well on plastic, glass, chrome, etc.

How long any protective product lasts can be highly variable because of many different factors. That being said typical use on a typical car you should get at least few months out of this.

This is a long lasting wax protection that can last several months; however many people find it so easy to incorporate in their regular wash process they do it much more often. Once a week is certainly not necessary but won't be a problem either. 👍

First, it is not mandatory to use two different waxes; however if you want to use both you should use the Ultimate Wax first followed by they Hybrid Ceramic Wax. You can use the Hybrid Ceramic Wax right after or any time later.

Clean on a low heat with a none bio liquid. I also put them on extra rinse and air dry indoors 👍🏼. Heat destroys microfiber.

Yes, this works over any existing polish, wax, sealant, or coating. Yes, it is okay on glass although not designed for glass. Meaning it may not perform as well but is not an issue if some gets on the glass. Just be careful to apply as directed and use a small amount of product. It really does spread amazingly over the surface.

As with any product designed to protect it is a sacrificial barrier from the elements. If you are also looking for water beading and water to sheet off easier you will find that as well.

This is not really a drying aid but when used as directed during the washing process it is certainly safe and will not mar your finish.

First, there is typically no reason why you need to finish a wash or full detail with a detail spray unless somehow right after you finish the car has a light layer of dust on it or some kind of other fresh contaminant. Certainly not harmful to do that but also most often unnecessary. So assuming you use the Hybrid Ceramic Wax during the wash process as instructed there is typically no reason why you would need to or benefit from spraying a quik detailer immediately on the vehicle.

Yes, this would be a great way to maintain the protection and water beading you are getting with a ceramic coating. Our Hybrid Ceramic Wax will work right over any existing wax, sealant, or coating.

Not sure why you would do that? Are you hoping to do a full detail process but suspect there is still wax on the vehicle from a previous application? Yes, these can certainly be used. As soon as you use the compound it will strip the old wax anyway. Not sure if that answers your question but hope that helps.

Yes, it is a premium wash. It will provide a nice user experience and sheet water well making drying easier. Keep in mind much of a purchasing decision for any given person is going to be based on personal preferences and desires. Do you want a wash and wax? Do you want to use it with a foam cannon? Do you care most of cost effectiveness?

Sorry to hear about your experience. The number one issue that would create streaking would be over application of the product. You really have to look at it as almost a concentrate. You really only want to use about 2-4 sprays per panel and then spread the product out while you dry or rinse. Yes, but even rewashing the car should help. You can also just try wiping those areas with a damp microfiber towel.

How long any protection/wax lasts is highly variable and depends on a number of factors related to the condition of the paint, previous prep, and the environmental elements the vehicle is exposed to. That being said, if well maintained, the Hybrid Ceramic Wax could last up to several months.

Yes, if you need to remove swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, water spots, etc. you will want to do so with a product like our Ultimate Compound first before waxing. Yes, the Hybrid Ceramic Wax can be used over almost any other polish, wax, sealant, or coating.

@@meguiars okay got it, now after reading more into this i think you might be wrong. Does the ceramic wax not need to bond to the paint work? So therefore putting a wax on first might stop that action? Can you please explain why should another wax or polish not be applied after?

Some waxes can bond well on top of other products, i.e. the Hybrid Ceramic Wax. Some do not. Secondly, you are likely going to diminish the properties, especially the water beading, of the Hybrid Ceramic Wax if you put another product over it. So we are not saying you can't or something harmful will happen but it very likely will cause diminish results which may disappoint you and leave to you falsely judge the performance of the Hybrid Ceramic Wax.

Why does mine make my car go Hazey? Windows look terrible.

If you are having difficulty with application of this product the most likely issue is over application. This is almost like a concentrate. You really only need about 2-4 squirts per panel. The drying and or rinsing will help dilute and spread the product. Also make sure the surface is nice and wet when applying. Applying to a dry surface could make it very difficult to wipe off. And of course make sure to use a good quality microfiber towels.

Not sure if this is a serious question but in case it is, no this is not only for the bonnet. It is intended to be used on the entirety of the exterior paint.

Definitely kidding I've watched a few how to videos and they all seem to concentrate on the bonnet. It seems a lot more expensive in UK than in US. 😢

Yes sir, but it is primarily designed for paint, and the best results will be on paint.

Although not designed for glass, plastic, chrome, etc. it is safe on them but we cannot guarantee the performance on surfaces other than the paint.

Yes, although not primarily designed with those applications in mind it is still safe to do so. We of course cannot vouch for it's performance on said surfaces either.

Yes, although designed to work best on paint it is safe on nearly all other exterior surfaces including plastic, rubber, chrome, glass, etc.

I have tried both, I like both and think they give similar water beading and protection but think this one seems to give a better glossy shine 🤷🏻‍♂️

Of course you can use this product to beat water or you can rub some fat from your hamburger into the paint and it will do the same thing. This does not make your car surface any shiny, so you still have to wax it if you want a nice shine.

I want to use this but use an air dryer for my car. As the product states to towel dry I spose I cant use it?

Correct. The first application you are spreading the product as you dry. Unfortunately that will not work well with a leaf blower. If that is the most important factor for you you can always consider purchasing the liquid version which has a traditional application method.

You might be able to air dry at the point at long as you have thoroughly rinsed the product.
