I really admire this presentation. I think it has a LOT to tell us about who we are and how we are inset into the world that we live in. I have a slightly different take on things (of course). I think that the highest aspiration is to be without bias...to neither assume good nor bad intent from the actions of others. But if one must assume something, I would highly recommend assuming the positive. For as they say what we eat is what we are, so it is true that what we think is who we are. Though still, I admonish us to simply take the actions that we experience in this world as what they are: simply actions. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. That is what the physical world is, but as thinking individuals we have the ability to access and to make interpretations. That is our power as aware beings. As this presenter demonstrated in a very succinct and vivid way via the illustration of the traffic story, we can never know what truly motivates another, and, as even one who is very closely observant, I will tell you that it is supremely easy to misinterpret the motivations and intentions of others...for how can we every truly know what another is thinking or what they are going through? So the key is to stay calm as a cucumber and to know that everything that is happening in front of us is INTENDED for us to see for our learning and growth. To be offended is to totally miss the point.
Wow this is some good advice. Thank you for sharing The mind is so powerful and this just shows one example of the power of (positive) assumptions Change your thoughts, change your life!
