How To Auto Mine | Space Engineers 

Theres this script called SCAM that looks really cool, haven't gotten around to using it tough. It allows you to use multiple mining drones on one ore job and the drones automatically check how deep they need to mine and when there isnt anything to mine anymore. I think it's a really cool script that is very rarely used. Thanks for the tips tough!

I wasn't expecting much from a video of this length, but I am pleasantly surprised to see a super basic PAM use case - most guides for it try to cover too much and end up scaring people off it, I feel. As for other methods, though, there are so many... I've been amusing myself with a small fleet of mining drones which deploy from a foreman/carrier, pass-through mine the asteroid it's facing, and then return to unload their cargo. It's inefficient, but it's fun to watch. One fun thing I made the other day was a gravity powered bore drill. It only has one event controller that shuts the drills off when the cargo is nearly full and activates the beacon to let me know it's ready. It's really just drills, cargo, batteries, and a gyro on override to keep it upright aside from that. I've been meaning to program a courier drone to respond to that beacon automatically but I haven't gotten around to it.

Do you have a mod on your drills? I tried this coast-mine with the same spacing as the miner you used and it leaves behind shafts of voxel between the drills that stop the miner at the depth of the drill?

When using pam, How do you get that box in front of your ship to show the mining area?

PAM Errors out if you don't have a remote control block assigned with [PAM] in the title

You can also coast-mine by turning off inertial dampening, assuming you're doing this in space.

What about auto mining with the new ai blocks like PAM does? Is this possible

In your toolbar, you have different images and texts, such as "All on" for your drills icon. How do you achieve that? Is it a mod? If yes, do you have the link?
