In this short episode I show how I put my pipes in chased thermolite brick walls, clipped and protected. Moving a water main and replacing the stop tap with also fitting 2 outside taps for hot and cold water!
For the Towel Rail tails, I’d not clip tight at the tails, it gives you some movement when you’re fitting the Valves. That’s Black Alkathene Class C or D.
Great video just wanted to ask when you 1st fixs for standard rads whats the distance you leave on each side for valves to fit? For example if you had 1000mm length rad what distance wud you leave on each side for valves to fit? Thanks
questions: 1/ how high do you set your 1st fix above ffl? is it always the same? are rad pipes always the same distance apart or do different valves mean you have to measure each time, ie if you have a 500mm towel rad, you always set your pipework at 550mm centres for example?
So above here was plastic but it’s all clipped and in straight lines so no tension on anything . For rads you add 40mm on each end for valves. Here on the towel rails you come in 22.5 from each side for valves going back into the wall. So if it’s 500 wide your 455 pipe centres
Improve on the video making mate, I want to know your feed back and how I can make the videos better for you to watch. There’s always different ways to do plumbing. Aslong as we get the best result in the end that’s all that matters.
Nice work - think the format is good - you could equally mix a bit of 'live' commentary and voiceover for variety but I enjoy your content - I typically watch pb, mjtiff, nathan and tom plumb but look out your videos when they appear too
