In fairness to Max, the online was probably getting to him at that point. Baiken is a character I actually main, thinking about having to do her a lot of her tech/combos with delay is awful. But I do agree that his response comes off as pure salt and should realize that no one is immune to Slayer counter hit lol. As for Jam, she'll be on the list. Though I know her, I never really played her outside +R. I like to make sure I'm not BSing a guide and actually help you learn. First, I got to read up on her and make sure I understand before I tell you all about it, then get some combos. After that, I'll make the guide.

Everyone has their days where stuff annoys him, and having the round closed when you barely did anything just when it started is good reason for people to be annoyed. Also, this is Max, one of the most calm, laid back, willing to learn people you can find in the FGC. He has learned a lot of the "fucked up stuff in Fighting Games" likely far longer than anyone who watches these videos.

Most all of these moves are + on block or safe enough to let you keep frame-trapping. For example: IL (+3) > c.S f.S (+6) > 5K (+3) > 236P (-1) is all safe and if they try to hit a button during any gap you get a CH which you can usually link into 2K > 2D or 2D itself. At worst, a lot of his pressure can be beaten by frame 1 invincible reversals. You don't have to pour over the frame data too much, but just having a mental list of all of your + moves is very useful because a lot of it has tiny 1 or 2 frame gaps when strung together. If they're respecting you, you can do a classic dash in > throw or dandy step with no follow-up and command grab. Most of your pressure ends when you have to get to Mappa Hunch, unfortunately, but that's a strike throw character for you.

So the frame traps are layer 1 offense and when they start respecting it you can start including dandy step and throws?

@@redacted4166 Yes exactly. Slayer has to kind of scare the opponent a bit with some of his moves before he can reliably use others. Dandy Step can often be interrupted by a fast reaction jab, but if you've overwhelmed them with + frames they're gonna be frozen waiting for another attack to block. Then it's a conditioning playground where you can get them used to blocking IL, only to do UP > 2K > 2D and keep looping, lots of other fun stuff too. The ultimate call-out move of course being Pilebunker
