How to Beat INCINEROAR in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

So Incineroar's counterplay is: don't use projectiles unless the player is terrible at incineroar, don't approach because he can side b, don't ever use shield because you'll die at 30%, don't approach from above because he can b, up b, up air, or up smash faster than you can do anything, try to edgeguard him but don't get anywhere close to him or else you'll get hit by side b or up b. So in conclusion, throw him off stage and hope he doesn't know how to play Incineroar. Fantastic game design, very fair and fun to play against.

Wow, this seems like a fun, fair character to fight against! Surely the character isn't designed in a frustrating way where one single mistake eats your entire stock or anything. Can't wait to play against him in online soon!

My friend used to main Inceneroar but he quit because he got bored, I could never beat him. He challenged me to use my main (Isabelle) and I won agaisnt hin because he spammed the dash grab and I punished him always.

Thanks again for the guides Trav! Really appreciate each and every one of em. One more thing u may or may not have know is that Incenaroar’s cross chop/up B is deceptive. When he starts going down u can hit him out of it, it looks like it has super armor but that’s only upon activation. Oh and to be careful on being below him since his up B spikes. His side b is so annoying. It has better grabbing than Ganon. And his B has invisible frames.

He needed the biggest nerf, and he didn’t get it EDIT: What was I on when I made this? He needed a buff in my opinion

Trav, I gotta correct you Incenorour IS the slowest character in the game by far

Lol I get destroyed all the time by this character. He’s got great frame data. I repeatedly get 2 framed at the ledge

My little brother was spamming the "alolan whip" move and kept winning against me. After this video I've have regained dominance.

OH MY GOD. thanks for the tutorial... my friend is an incineroar main, and I couldn't beat him for cr*p. Now, with this knowledge, I spiked him 2 times with DR.mario (my main) finishing with a side smash! (I wanna die :D)

Don't hold your L Stick just in the opposite direction but also a bit upwards (30 to 45 degrees) to get thrown to the top right corner instead of put of the stage

He can angle his up-b only two ways. If you hold the opposite direction, then you travel a shorter distance but we have to watch out to not b-reverse

And he's only slow on walking and running because all of his moves have really little lag, you can test how fast he's by picking him on training and throwing smashes to see how fast you can spam it, it's faster than most characters

inceneroar is the reason i want to quit smash ultimate...tell me how a side b with Rage does as damage as a falcon punch?? but ima practice this matchup before i quit

heavy characters are so broken since their only weakness is that SOME of them are slow. literally everything else is either unbeatable or almost unbeatable

Why it does 70% damage in one hit, that's so stupid.

I need help. I've tried everything. I play wolf and my friend mains incin. I try everything and I can't punish. I try to punish his grab and his air moves but it just doesn't work. He also jumps alot and I never know when to attack because his airs always beat mine. I get to scared to try to hit him so I'm in a constant loop of grabs that I can't punish and can't get around anything. If anyone can give me some advice that would be great!?

I actually hate Incineroar. I'm not a fan of that generation of Pokemon, and have always thought he was an idiotic design. When he was revealed as a character for Smash I accounted that as a wasted character slot; I'd been so excited to see who may be revealed -- Skull Kid in Majora's Mask?? Geno, from Mario RPG?? -- and instead it was this moronic thing. This is all made worse by his skill set in Smash. Two hits can land you in the seventy-percentile range. I do not care what anyone has to say about balance, or that he's the slowest character in the game to level it out, etc; no character in the game should be able to impart that much power from a few hits. Such power is similar to Little Mac, whose KO Punch is statistically better than most Final Smashes; it's just a free stock. I began playing Smash in 1999, when Smash 64 was released. No characters had insane damage boosts, or one-wing buffs, "Go" mode, or Arsene; these are all Mr. Sakurai's attempts to make Smash the silly, anyone-can-win party game he always wanted it to be. Each character was balanced differently, yes, some slow, some fast, some stronger, some weaker, but no one possessed the ability to KO in one or two hits.
