How to Beat TERRY BOGARD in Smash Ultimate 

These "how to beat" series is something that I EXACTLY wanted. Thank you very much, definitely subbed and I'm planning to watch every single one of your "how to beat" series.

Special moves difficult to pull off. Feels like winning against him depends on him screwing up his inputs.

Any character who’s counterplay revolves around “kill him before he gets to 100 lol” is automatically broken

It's also worth noting that Terry has no way to attack directly below him when he is airborne. Track where he's landing and you can usually get a good hit or three in from that.

ok so you told me what he can do and why hes whooping my ass, judging by the title I was kinda expecting to learn how to play against that...

seems like he has 0 endlag. whenever i try and punish i just get jabbed

Terry is a bs character. I main Dark Pit and hate to keep distance and spam arrows because it honestly just makes the fight unenjoyable for everyone involved, but that's my only real option against him because he can K.O. me in 2 of his ridiculous combos. I get that it is part of the game to mix up strategies but it's annoying that there are characters so broken that you are force to play cheaply just to beat them.

I said it in Smash 4 I'll say it for Smash ultimate, DLC characters are THE worst.

Can you make a how to beat Mario? There’s a good Mario player at my school and I wanna beat him. Also, why do you have so little subscribers? Your content is good and you should have more subscribers. Just saying, I subscribed when you were at like 50 subs.

There is nothing more annoying than a terry that acts really aggressive to get to 100% than spams those two moves.

These have been great so far. Would love to see guides for Mewtwo and Zelda at some point! My friends give me a lot of trouble with them because they always float out of my strings and just teleport back when I try to go offstage against them.

Oh and a few other moves to respect would be, shield into (as terry can hold down to increase) rising tackle Or using buster wolf anyways to lunge away from an opponent if you’re feeling to pressure. Causing them to approach and you can throw out a power geyser Or or throwing out power geyser to bait an opponent and using a different Combo 😅 terry can just be a lot of fun at high percentages if you use him right

That freaking side b it carrys them. If i try to punish i get jabbed like they have 0 ENDLAG

This was 4 years ago and to this day he seems the cheapest character in quick play at least.

Welp... still wanna know which of Terry's combo strings can just be shielded midway through and on which I know I'm beat.

To all of the super heavy weight mains, try to kill terry before 100%. Due to super-heavy weight characters ability to kill earlier than other characters, these characters can kill terry before 100% easily.

It's honestly not too hard beat us. We may have some of the faster yet more devastating attacks on the roster, but our combo game is also limited due to our combo starters being a little on the heavily reliant side. D-tilt has slightly more start and end lag than a good fraction of the roster, and it's not too reliable for putting into combos, and can easier to parry due to it's slower pace. Nair is easily one of our biggest combo starters as it has a R.O.B. effect, where if it connects, you can act immediately afterwards with a special/input or follow up with more grounded attacks mattering on if you fast fall or not. However, if it doesn't connect, or connects with a shield, we'll be left open for a short moment, allowing a short window to escape pressure or retaliate. Because of this, we'll use crack shot when pressuring as it will go through a shield and it's fast with not much end lag, which could eventually become predictable. And when we're at %100 or above, keep your guard up obviously. Not only is Power Geyser and Buster Wolf devastating, but it leaves us open from the ending lag-- almost enough for *ganondorf* to land a f-smash on us.

How to beat Terry Bogard: you can't

i can't seem to figure out how to sdi out of his power dunk im trying in training mode i mash towards him on my control stick and down so i mash diagnal towards him and down and i dont even come close to falling out . i always return my stick between each flick and im mashing hard im trying mashing fast but not too fast . everything and i managed to get it one time so idk how to sdi properly or something im lost

I am so happy they put Terry Bogard in Smash he's a character I thought would make a great addition to smash and I've been saying to all my friends what if he was one of the DLC characters and my wish came true and I never thought it would when he was released he was even better than I expected only difference is he is way too powerful thanks for showing how to beat him cuz I was Googling is it possible to beat Terry Bogard but just remember everyone he may be really powerful but he's not invincible

Terry takes no skill whatsoever. He never deserved to be in the game and I wish he wasn’t, playing against them is no fun and terry makes the game so worse. They need to stop adding these characters with devastating attacks and dumb plays.

I think that players that use the dlc characaters don't have much skill and are pay to win.

I main terry on quick play 😂 and seeing opponents panic once I get over 100% is Always hilariously fun 🤣😈 And I’m watching this video so I can counter Terry’s weaknesses 😈😤

It is hilarious how this guy only uses clips from people who are using him day one and are really bad. Anyone who is good at terry doesn't follow these weaknesses. Also, terry can recover using side B and down b so his recovery is actually good, but only if you use the inputs to get maximum distance and invincibility. And by going as low as possible, terry's recovery will snap to the ledge but only if you space it right, so all the weaknesses are straight up lies. Dislike. P.S I don't even main terry and I know these things.

Not to disrespect the content but oh my f*cking god please learn the inputs. Its cringy as hell watching people use only the ">b". You're losing damage, safety, and kill power. It's like when a cloud player only uses finishing touch when they have limit because they dont realize the other limit boosted specials exist. Just... please learn them.. they're not hard I promise
