I really hate Pac-Man's grab when it's used against me, because it forces me to uncomfortably roll to dodge it which I'm not used to doing since I will usually dodge grabs with a sidestep. This is a pretty helpful video. As a Pac-Man secondary I would like to add that Bell is pretty easy to grab if you're fast enough. You can shield it and then pick it up because it only hits once on shield. This can scare the Pac-Man you're facing up against and make them play more passively. If they shield, you can mix them up so that they'instinctively drop it and are left vulnerable.
Personally, I think I tend to struggle with players that jump excessively over his projectiles, so I'll use bell to counter that habit. That's if I can catch on in time during the match.
I just discovered your channel because of your how to beat Sonic video (even though I’m a Sonic main) and I’ve got to say that you put some quality videos. I want to see you do a “How to beat Rosalina and Luma” video someday, you definitely earned a sub bro.
A note for the competitive Pac players who happen to run into people with Final Smash meter on or whatever. When using Pac-Man's FS he gains a bit of height as he grows large. Trick is, ideally you wanna jump _right_ next to the ledge of a certain platform that opponents can't avoid (perfect for omega stages). Since most players will try to jump or dodge the move to avoid it, you can easily wait for them to waste their jump(s); best time to use it is right before they can land. They'll have no jumps, dodging is nearly impossible, and their up-special will only help them get juggled until they can get launched off the stage. For other stages or more skilled players who avoid jumping around until you actually use your FS, feel free to pressure them and combo them to hopefully get them to use their jumps to avoid further damage. (Shouldn't be too difficult, given Pac-Man can give you a hard time even without his fruit.) And when they do, you'll likely want to fast fall just below them and unleash the FS. All in all, a clever Pac player can make this move almost completely unavoidable.
So true. Although personally, I prefer to use it to get rid of double jumps, but not anything else because it's launch angle usually lets opponents up-b back on stage at high percents. After that, I'm more inclined to use his down air since it has more horizontal knockback or forward air since that's a lot more effective. Only time I might repeatedly use it is if the opponents recovery move is difficult to beat out with a close-range attack.
Lmao just found this video and recognized some of the footage! I appreciate that you found my videos useful as examples but it would be nice to get some credit literally anywhere if you’re blatantly taking clips from them
I probably add "don't be to near of pac man shield or you will take a neutral air in your face" and for the grab a pac man is happy between 0 to 70 % for grab because that connect with up air so that deal a lot of damage if you get catch a lot of time and is it happy to 120% to highter because back throw can kill. You don't talk about front air, but is one of is better attack, he can do 2 fair in one short up or fair nair and is one of is strongher combo starter with the galaxian. And fsmash kill really 70 of 80% fast so don't try to much to hit all time pac man else he will trap you in a fmash. And don't smash the hydrant when pac man is near you will have more end lagg than normal and you will be punish all the time by the pac man
