In the 5 slowest character and characters like captain falco, bowser or bayleth have the same or more KO power and Ganondorf have less end lag and more power
@@muglokdecrepitus1301 not true at all. If you didn't understood, I was talking about frame data, not actual movement speed. (Obviously) Pyra has barely any cooldown lag. Completely different from Ganon, yet she hits nearly as hard. Bowser also has tons of lag in many moves. Captain Falcon also doesn't hits that hard, only a few of his moves kill, he is a combo heavy character. Pyra can combo too but kills much earlier. Most of her moves kill very early and barely any of them can be punished.
Pyra's up b' landing hitbox is as big as that one from Terry (the one he gets only after 100% damage and must be done with proper inputs... Yeahhh... And they say they aren't broken)
You mean power geyser? I didn’t know that. I don’t know why fighters are getting explosion attacks that huge. I think it’s incredibly unfair because your opponent can just sit there & spam. No skill at all.

As I pyra main I rarely ever use up B because if you are going up against anybody that remotely knows what they are doing it is so easy to read and punish
Same. I play with a friend all the time who’s already better than me, and now they’re maining Pyra and Mythra, which is because they actually played and like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, not just because they want to play a top tier. Doesn’t make it any less annoying though, and now I rarely win.
I am very disappointed because I am a mario main and they are Sword characters with Moves that have higher chances KILL at 60%! I want nerfs or buffs for characters again.
@@monkeyboygchannel6985 If there was 1 thing I would nerf, It would first be her F- smash, Most characters can't kill with F-smash at super low percent's (Maybe all but I mostly only know Mario)
I strongly disagree with the argument that Mythra has poor disadvantage and struggles with zoners. Her exceptional mobility lets her close the distance very quickly and punish projectile use. Foresight is very effective on projectiles and lets her get a BIG punish even on Young Link, who has extremely safe projectiles. Mythra has these options for escaping disadvantage: 1. Mythra's Foresight activates on frame 2, so she can escape combos with it and turn the tables on her attacker. 2. Her top 10 airspeed and average air acceleration let her drift away quickly from attacks. 3. Her air dodge has the 2nd best distance in the game. It is 1 unit worse than Ness/Lucas and 4 units (20%) better than most characters. 4. Her switch mechanic allows her to get intangibility multiple times in a row while in the air, and switching changes her fall speed, which can mess with timing attacks against her. These options give Mythra plenty of options for escaping disadvantage that few, if any other characters have. Also, Pyra Fthrow may not kill early, but it does send people offstage very effectively, which allows her to kill with an aerial. Therefore, Pyra's grab should be respected at high percents if she is facing the edge. Having said that, I do agree that Mythra's grab is TERRIBLE for getting kills. One weakness that they both have that isn't mentioned is that most of their attacks (other than smashes and specials) don't have many active frames. This can easily make them whiff moves and get punished. It should be mentioned that Pyra's Dair MUST be respected. It is massive, has a generous spike hitbox, and combos into upsmash, upair, and Fsmash, giving it a MASSIVE kill window.
i play mii swordie which almost is the same playstyle as young link and i noticed i have much less problems with mythra as pyra. mythra's aerilals almost always lose to that tornado attack, but pyra for some reason was insufferable. just lost like 15 times in a row to a t bagger in elite. im so pissed at this character. this time they messed up seriously
Yes they went. Usually we fear the newcomer is broken after we see the reveal trailer, before the actual release. When they come out we usually see that our fears were mistaken. This time, tough, its the opposite. They didn't look like that much powerful in the reveal neither in the showcase. But playing against them had shown us reason for the first claims that they're broken
@@adriandelapaz5754 hero normals have below average frame data and not the best recovery on said moves. mytha gets amazing frame data. pyra gets good recovery on her end frames. Even on moves that kill at 60-70. There far worse than hero.
If they don't fix them, and by that I mean "change them A LOT", we are already going down that road. People are still learning to play them and they're already a pain in the ass. Imagine when top players start getting championships with them
They have too many additional hitboxes man! It's insane! And difficult to approach. As a Cloud main I still find it difficult to face against them because they out range him too much!
When pyra/Mythra can hit a *true* 0-death combo like smash 4 bayo can and has a counter that can last about ten seconds for free combo strings let me know. Even her forsight only allows for a quick punish.They have clear beatable weaknesses. Smash 4 bayo did not.

the side b is dumb for a lot of reasons. one being they can just run away or move into a better position. Even if you shield the whole thing. If they weren't pay to win or come back in a future game. I guarantee pyra would remain rooted when throwing the blade. That would make punishing her far easier and would force them to not keep spamming it.
Basically you have to respect all their normal moves. Last time I beat a Mythra as Samus, I repeatedly got lucky guessing she'd jump and I caught her with forward air.
I really hate the fact that Mythra nair is way to fast, with a big hitbox that even covers her whole body while Pit's are literally just four small circles that don't even cover the animation 🙄
@@PurposeDriven7_ Yes but they don't come out as quick and even tho their hitbox are big (still it won't cover their WHOLE body) the move still has either end lag or startup lag unlike Mythra.
I think the foresight ability alone is enough to say Mythra is broken. Pro players are just gonna pick or ban this character because there's no counterplay to that ability and especially at the pro level where every moment is important, slowing the opponent down with that ability can win/break a game. Pyra just seems obnoxious. But I agree that overall, since they can switch so quickly and easily on stage, it seems like an op character that will likely be #1 in the tier list in smash soon.
Just one thing for every casual, both chars have a confirm with backthrow if they want to use their final smash wich can kill you at the ledge at zero, so don’t get grabbed at the ledge if you’re playing with final smash
The fact she has hitboxes that last seconds, do a ton of damage, and there's basically no ending lag is absolutely ridiculous. Between the crappy online play and stupidly gimmicky characters, I've basically stopped playing this game.
All this are fine tips but if you are playing online and you can’t swap characters to counter them, you are screwed. For example if you choose an all rounder and you find them online, 2 of your tips to fight them can’t even be used.

Just lil fyi, she IS the aegis, the sword is just a sword. She is the blade, blades are the being that comes with a weapon, that assist their driver in combat
When the best and only real advice on how to get around a character’s powerful attacks is “Just try not to get hit”, that’s how you know the character is busted.

I just discover any character with counter and proyectil can beat her, like K.Rool, Lucario Greninja or Joker somthing can avoid close combat an counter fast Attack on the other side heavy brawlers like kong, bowser ganondorf or ddd are gonna get an a horrible time trying to beat her
I find Link to be one of the better matchups against Pyra/Mythra. While you're never going to fully keep either of them away, you can rack up the damage on Mythra, force a change to Pyra, then hold shield to hit Pyra with an up special when she bashes against your shield. It also works on Mythra to a lesser degree since her moves can still come out faster. Another option with Link specifically, is to use the bomb to punish Prominence Revolt.
@Michael Barefield Then you assuredly have the Links, Zelda, the Samus', Fox/Falco/Wolf, and Pikachu. All of which have excellent match ups with Pyra/Mythra if you know what you're doing, and more importantly what Pyra/Mythra want to try to do and how to counter that.
How to beat Pyra and Mythra = make sure you disconnect whenever she lands a killing blow so she doesn't get any gsp and is discouraged from playing her broken ass again.
Why do I have such bad luck with these. I play pichu and Lucas. My friend used to play oilmar, turns out pichu is his best matchup. Then I fight a pyra mythra online, get bodied by spamming (I’m not a John I swear lmao), and turns out Lucas is her best matchup. Mood.
It’s good to know cloud is a counter pick to pyra/mithra because he’s my main, and my friend mains pyra/mythra, but you also said that pyra/mythras strong stages are ones with platforms like battlefield and the weak stages are final destination etc, unfortunately that’s the same story for cloud, so what’s the best option here?

Pyra and Mythra should have never been added. Maybe just one of them but never both, that character is so dumb and stupid. I hate the game because they are in it and i am just about to quit smash in general unless they get some nerfs
