If you've been feeling like a lukewarm Christian lately and you want to change that, here are some steps you can take. Take a moment to honestly reflect on your faith and where you feel you've been lacking. Then, make it a habit to spend time in the Bible regularly. Dive into God's Word and let it speak to your heart. Also, don't underestimate the power of prayer. Set aside dedicated time each day to talk to God, pour out your heart, and seek His guidance. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." James 1:22 (NIV) - "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." Another important aspect is finding a community of believers who are passionate about their faith. Join a local church or Christian group where you can grow together, learn from one another, and find support. It's also crucial to put your faith into action. Look for opportunities to serve others and show God's love in practical ways. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV) - "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Galatians 5:13 (NIV) - "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love." Don't hesitate to seek guidance from a spiritual mentor or someone you trust who can help you navigate this journey. And remember, it's not about being perfect overnight. Focus on progress, not perfection. Take small steps, be patient with yourself, and rely on God's grace and guidance. Ultimately, it's about building a deep and personal relationship with God and allowing Him to transform your heart. When we invite Christ into our lives, everything changes. We're not just patched up; we're completely transformed. The old self, with all its mistakes and shortcomings, is replaced by a brand new creation. It's like getting a fresh start, leaving behind the baggage and stepping into a purposeful and changed life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV): "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
@@ffmaxvines7700 1 take small steps to spend time with god whenever you’re free. 2 open up your Bible and read some chapters everyday. 3 at least try to pray everyday not a demand in request but as if it’s a conversation with the lord. 4 if you feel like you’re bored maybe do some a little Bible study. With your own or with a friend. We can do a Bible study online if you’d like. 🙂 5 have faith in Jesus and always seek out to him first. 6. Even if you feel like you don’t want to I encourage to explore different churches. Remember this, always be cautious with different churches as they preach down the lukewarm version of the gospel.
As someone who recently realized I was a lukewarm Christian, it gave me chills that everything he said, I have developed a strong desire for the opposite. I’m here Jesus, and I’m finally ready to carry out your will.
Same, I think God intervened in my life because I had no idea there was more to living a life for Jesus until I realized I was doing it wrong and was a lukewarm
As I'm 11 and just relised im a lukewarm christan I'm gonna pray every day by myself and with parents to let god give me wisdom to stop myself from being a lukewarm Christian
⚠️ Attention: ⚠️ All of you typing comments to God (also known as YHWH) are doing a very nice thing; but please never use the lowercase "g" when you're talking about the one and only true God, (YHWH.) The uppercase "G" should also only be used and reserved for the one and only true God, YHWH; the reason it is this way is because an uppercase letter at the beginning of an important being's name indicates respect. We should only respect YHWH because he is the only one that is real...whilst all the other "gods" are fake. Thank you to everybody who took the time to read this, may God's plan and destiny for all of your lives prosper at his timing and exactly in his way. ♡
At this point, people aren’t even trying to be good people. In school, they are bullies. But oh it’s alr, I’m a Christian. It goes like this: Sunday: "I love you Jesus! I love you so much! I want to follow you and spread your love across the nation!" The next day: "This person talks to me, I’ll cuss them out. Oh look, that kid is different, I’m going to make fun of him." And at this point, they are making fun of other Christians who are actually trying to be in a relationship with God for talking about him a lot or bringing their Bible to school.
I read my bible and learn deeply into the word. I pray everyday somedays i struggle but i still push through. Im a follower of many words of god but not all im still growing and learning to follow all of god word, i believe jesus died for my sins, i talk to jesus like i talk with my loved ones everyday (this is different from prayer but relationships). Im fasting now of material things to get rid of some strong holds in my life. But i am afraid or timid to preach of the gospel. But im not afriad to praise and glorify jesus before anyone. I boldly preech the gospel to my unbelieving family. Im working with God to become more bold. I have many dreams about owning my dream home and making businesses and cities. Though i know i can be a bit to obsessive about it, God revealed to me that i need to redirect that "obsession" back to him and for him and i agree. I dont think about heaven much because ive listen to pastors and people who tell me without certain works im not going to heaven. Which has tormented my soul beyond comprehension. Ive listened to biblical pastor who tell me straight from the bible " i can have assurance that i will inherit the kingdom of god by putting my faith in jesus and what he has done for me and the world". Jesus is building on me to serve others, love my neighbor, to love him thru obedience, and to spread the gospel. Im an imperfect human, just like i know your a sinner, so am i.
I’m trying my best to become a great Christian And I acknowledge that I’m not perfect But this speech makes me think of my former friend (atomic) and I think he’s a lukewarm Christian, because he actively engages in bullying same with his friends he’s a very judgmental person yet he never judges himself he’s a giant hypocrite in general. But deep down, I hope that he discovers that what he’s doing is sinful and becomes a better Christian same with his friends they really lack forgiveness, but they preach about it I just hope that they turn their life around
It's great to talk the talk, and judge others as "lukewarm",but only God sees the good you do, unselfishly, and not for public accolades.Or, recognition. So,I'm worried about people who tell everyone how they are "lukewarm", but never step out of their comfort zone,or sacrifice anything, for the sake of those less fortunate.Lots of those around, stroking their own egos.I pray for them, but I'm putting all my trust in Jesus, and not the opinions of others about me
I don’t know what this means, but some of these applied to me. Like the one about speaking about Jesus in front of other people. I dont know if it’s because I just can’t say stuff in front of crowds or if I’m not being a good Christian or what
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarmn either hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth Revelation 3:15-16
Sometimes growth in faith and devotion takes time, the goal is becoming better and better . Don't feel condemned if you believe , keep praying and trusting - It's a long list about lukewarm Christianity , but one thing is you won't be perfect but you will be alright with Christ's rule
Lukewarm means to trust in baptism, asking forgiveness sacraments, good works to get you to heaven. Trust in Jesus alone to get y’all saved AND NONE OF YOIR OEN DOING
Exactly, so many people don’t even realize what Jesus meant. He was literally talking about the water being hot or cold for its usability. People really need to study in context
@@pickupyourcrossdaily we are saved by faith alone in what christ did And even if we fall into sin, we have an advocate with the Father ,jesus christ the righteous
One of the hardest things for me is to speak up about Jesus to other people, im a person who is shy and i dont do well talking with people. Can you give me some advice on how i can change this?
I’m also a shy person, but I think one of the things that helps me spread the word of God is remembering that Jesus leaves the 99 for the 1. For example let’s say you were to spread the gospel to 50 people but only one ended up getting saved, that would be just as pleasing to God. Jesus is proud when we’re not ashamed of him. I know it’s hard, but if you pray for the Holy Spirit to give you great boldness when telling others about Jesus, it becomes easier. ❤
You can make small remarks here and there. Like if someone is telling you something good that's happened in their life you can say "praise God" or "God is good". If the person is interested they can ask about your beliefs and you can go from there. That's just one small example. Combine that with living out your life in a Christ like way to the best of your ability and people will take notice and be curious.
You are telling the truth about them and sometimes they get on my nerves mainly because I've gotten closer to God so I know that I used to be lukewarm and I just don't want to ever go back there. I also don't want to see other people there
I’m a lukewarm christian, and I know thats bad, but I just don’t want to turn. I know I should but I just don’t like religion that much, or at all. I understand why people believe in Jesus but i’m just not someone who does. There’s something about what how the people in my church teach us about god that makes me not enjoy it, i’m pretty sure it’s how excessive and over the top they are but I can’t be sure. (Just wanted to speak out cuz It’s a problem with me)
Hi! I have some advice if you would like some! First, personally I don’t take Christianity as a religion, it’s more of a relationship. It’s by grace through faith we are saved, not by our own works. Now if you don’t know Jesus or spend time with him, yes following Him becomes a lot harder. That’s why instead of being caught up in religion focus on spending time with Jesus like a friend, maybe try reading 1-2 chapters of the Bible a day, or praying every morning and every night. Eventually the Holy Spirit will convict you of your sins, and once you see Gods love you genuinely won’t want to sin anymore. If you truly get to know Jesus you’ll change your mind about your sin, (Repent) also I suggest finding a new church that helps you become closer to God!
@@Its_WynterI have been a Christian my whole life and I started reading the Holy Bible King James Version. Im currently on the old testament although its taking me a lot of time to understand it Im still making it a goal to read at least one chapter a day. I also pray everyday 🙏 because one simple short prayer can go a long way. I really want to be close and have a good relationship with God. He does so much for us that I want to repent and turn away from sins.
To be a Christian is to believe in the gospel, that Jesus is the only Son of God who was crucified for our sins (died and rose again) and by repentance of your sins, we receive grace. So if you don't believe in Jesus, you're technically not a Christian, but it's never too late to become one. Right where you are right now, you can confess your sins, profess the gospel, and ask the Holy Spirit to come into you. Jesus said to go & sin no more, to pick up your cross and follow Him. He warns us that it won't be easy, that we will all have afflictions. But with God's help and strength, you can overcome the difficult times. The bible mentions something called a "freewill offering." When we pick up our own cross, we offer Him our freewill and choose His will (to follow His commandments written in the Word) instead. He's there for you when you are ready to walk the path.
Two things: First off, Lukewarm is either talking of non-believers or lazy believers. It is not talking about full fledged zealous believers. Secondly, Saying a Lukewarm Christian can’t get to heaven means that every Christian can’t get to heaven. If Lukewarm Christians are Christian’s, then They are part of the church which is part of the born again body of believers. You go to heaven by Faith in the Gospel and trusting Jesus, not by doing enough. If Lukewarm believers, who are just lazy Christians, saved, justified and sanctified can’t go to heaven despite doing the only thing required for salvation which is belief in Christ alone, then no one can be saved. We shouldn’t live worldly lives. We should live upright Christian loves that show the love of God to the world, but just because you don’t do enough doesn’t mean you’re not saved, it means you have a useless faith. However, if the term Lukewarm is not referring to believers at all, then the term Lukewarm Christian doesn’t make sense, there are Christians and Fake Christians. The Fake Christians are people who don’t truly believe in Christ and the true Gospel. Sadly many don’t. Just like this man who said the lazy lukewarm Christians won’t make it to heaven most likely doesn’t believe the true Gospel. People don’t understand that what they do has nothing to contribute to their salvation and many not see heaven because of it. Do good works, stop sinning but don’t trust in that for salvation? It will bite you.
Yes, we are save by Grace through faith, but we are also called to do the will of the Father and to deny our flesh and the world, pick up our cross and follow him. Jesus said, "if you love me you will obey my commandments." (John 14:23) Many will come to him on the day of Judgement and say "Lord, Lord, did we not [do all of these things] in your name? And He will say, get away from me you workers of iniquity (sin), I never knew you." (Matthew 7:23) He said nobody who puts his had to the plow and turns back, is fit for the Kingdom. (Luke 9:62) We cannot serve our flesh and please God. "God will not be mocked. Whatever a man sows he will also reap." We will be known as believers by our fruit. Jesus made it clear in the parable of the tree. He said every tree that does not bear good fruit, will be cut down and cast into the fire. (John 15:6 ). If we are saved, we will have the fruit of the Spirit of God manifest in our lives. What is the fruit of the Spirit? Loving others as ourselves, humility, forgiveness, peace, joy, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We must walk by the Spirit to be fruitful. It is only by our relationship with Jesus Christ and our faith and obedience to his Spirit dwelling in us, that we produce good fruit. "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed-not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence-continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling." Phillipians 2:12 Love and many blessings to you!
I was about 70% of those things for the past decade. I've been starting to really heat things up recently and it's been very exciting! For me it was discovering the abortion Abolitionist movement via the Abolitionists Rising RU-vid channel 3 or 4 months ago that got me off my ass.
Having a relationship with Jesus and reading the Word of the Holy Bible changes everything. He will speak to you through His word. I’m so happy how much you want to follow Jesus. God Bless you and I hope you have a wonderful day ❤

At least I'm not a lukewarm Christian. No, sir, I ain't no lukewarm. I got me a deceitful wicked heart. Snake venom drips from my lips, and my mouth is as the stench of an open grave. I'm not worried about going to hell, but I will be when I get there.
As a lukewarm Christian does that mean god wishes me dead? In the book of revelation he claims “you are not hot or cold so I will spit you out of my mouth”
@@Dominique632i am one who Will be into Hell as i am destined for Ever since June 2022 i stopped calling myself christian because i am too sinful to be such, Also i am a cursed product of unequally yoked adultery where my dad was the Christian and my mum wasn't
Let me guess, you felt conviction? He's just describing a lukewarm christian (could be from experience, as well). Wearing "sports gear" and driving a nice car doesn't make you lukewarm, just means you have a good naterial things.
@@AmenArmy that's true but Jesus also said "No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.." Luke 12:22 It is our hearts that God looks at. Money is not bad in and of itself, it can be a wonderful tool to bless those in need and the Kingdom of God, but the love of money can keep us from denying our flesh and the things of this world to follow and serve Jesus and his Kingdom. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Mark 8:36
Were all blessed from the start, in the bible it says we are blessed and highly favored, that means were all his children. Its not that you arent focusing on your life, but transforming it, the old things that you used to be tempted by become irrelevant to you, and living a life of joy, & peace knowing you have God with you too. If you acknowledge his presence I hope you accept my prayer for you, to try making little steps in believing in Jesus, the Holy Spirit, & God, Amen 🙏
If you’re a lukewarm Khristian, dw this isnt an attakk, just a korrektion!! While it’s a bad thing God and Jesus are quite forgiving!! You kould always repent
Its true that nobody is perfect, only God is. But I think what he's trying to say is that a lukewarm Christian is someone who knows they sin but doesn't really act on it or actively tries to get closer to God. It's important to not let our beleif in Jesus be an excuse or a free-pass for everything bc we're already forgiven. Just because we are forgiven doesn't mean it's not bad anymore. I'm just trying to make sense of what he's saying, I don't mean to be judgmental or anything bc that's not my place so please don't take it that way, I just want to make sure we're all on the same page
Absolutely not. Falling short is to have a "slip up" with a sin you struggle with. You're doing good and staying consistent for a while (weeks, months, years) and then something happens where you get overwhelmed by temptation and you fall/give in. You realize the error in your ways, feel horrible about it, pray, seek forgiveness, and make effort not to take that same route again. To be lukewarm is to knowingly sin and not feel bad about it, and then you continue to do it. They don't seek forgiveness. Examples: CONTINUALLY having sex outside of marriage (fornication or adultery), lusting every night to p*rn, getting drunk all the time, fits of anger (without seeking therapy or anger management), idolatry, pride, etc.
I’m sorry to say, but the Jesus you believe in is a different individual then the Jesus we believe in, not the Same. There only similarities are in their names
The HOT christian is the one who believes & relies 💯 only in the finished work of Christ's righteousness @ Calvary. The COLD christian is one who trusts his own works of righteous law-keeping for receiving eternal life. The LUKEWARM christian is one who professes faith in Christ's finished work but still continues to believe that his own works of law-keeping righteousness are also needed to augment the imputed righteousness of Christ. Rev3:17-18 give context to this.
