Done this many of times by myself without trouble, the 3 clicks in with the converter is on point, I prefer the c4 over most tranmissions... Enjoy watching your guys videos from here in Aotearoa new Zealand 👍👍 up the ford's

Hi guys great job !!..very informative & clear ..I do have one question if I may ..why was the adapter plate used with the converter..is it because it is not a standard converter?..or do they all use some sort off a adapter plate ?..cheers guys

@@malcolmcharles2449 yes mate that adaptor is not standard it's a procomp thing, I definitely wouldn't recommend buying anything procomp but this was already purchased and customer decided to run with it. The threads finish at a square cut end not like stock converter that have a rounded profile to help locate. The holes were actually in the wrong location, that cost us delays when we discovered the original plate wouldn't fit and had to wait for a replacement. These cars are far to valuable to use anything inferior quality like Pro comp or speed master.

Nice work guys. Not right that the Trans Rebuilder has left some bits undone. Those pre-formed J shaped Modulator Hoses are cheap and common.

Those nuts on the torque converter studs should not be used. Nyloc lock nuts only work with at least two threads protruding, and even then they are only designed to provide minimum "locking" for bolts that are frequently disassembled. The stock Ford nuts are a proper "prevailing torque" lock nut (hole looks squished into an oval shape) which is much more secure than the best nyloc, especially with engine heat and 5,400+ RPMs present. Even if Nylocs came with the converter adapter, don't use them.

Howdy from Texas! I have a 351c and C4 on a 1973 Mustang. GYTIUP! Couple of weeks ago, I guess the previous owner did not tighten down the starter bolts and the transmission inspection plate. I lost the plate with both bolts and the lower bolt for the starter. Do y'all happen to know what size bolt was used for the transmission inspection plate and starter?

Same bolts as the lower timing cover or the 4 outer corner sump bolts mate, I can refer to a chart I have when I get back home for the measurements.

G’day guys, Can you recommend what brand of dipstick for a pan fill C4 fits best with Pacemaker headers on an XB? Needs to be as high as rocker covers preferably.

don't C4's come with a torque spreader plate that goes on before you put the flywheel bolts on? part number C2OZ-6A366-A

Not all of them, they hardly fitted any of them to cars here in Aus. That’s an early part number 1962, I tend to only find them in Broncos or F250s down under mate.

@@thebrisbanebrothers8332 sometimes the bolts bottom out and the flex looks like it's bolted down but it's not, depends on the crank, (4MA have shallow holes than B or Aussie crank) also on the crossflow without the speaker it will crack flex plates quickly. I always use it. Keep up the content!
