Thanks for the break in tips. I have a new 2022 Mercury 60ELPT going on my old 89 "restored" 16ft Mirrocraft this spring. I look foward to the new quite 4 stoke compared to my old 50hp Force outboard. Ps nice hat catch, nice to keep it in the live well. Lol
I’d have to get my manual out to be sure, but I believe varied rpm’s for first 2 hours total. Full throttle for 1 minute every 10 minutes. These new engines have a memory box in them that the techs can see everything so to be sure I’d check your owners manual for your specific motor and follow that. If you don’t have manual they are easy enough to find online
My manual says 1 minutes full throttle every 10 minutes during the second hour. Does any one know if this is supposed to be continuous. I mean can I stop and fish for a few then get back to it
Hopefully everything is fine, it’s the procedure mercury suggests though. It just ensures the motor gets hot enough and all the seals and everything gets seated properly.
