How did Cobra Kai bring back Terry Silver believably in the modern world? Cobra Kai Co-Creator Hayden Schlossberg gives his thoughts on the challenges and thrills of writing a larger-than-life character, including his revealed cocaine use. In Karate Kid 3, Terry Silver left his corporation to terrorize karate kid Daniel LaRusso.
Terry Silver was played by Thomas Ian Griffith in Karate Kid 3 and Cobra Kai.

The character Terry Silver was handled with real care by the big three, as were all the KK legacy characters. It was a very respectful approach and everything made perfect sense. It leaves you wanting more

It's rare these days to see a showrunner or creator that understands the concept of verisimilitude. The fact that Schlossberg and the others on this show clearly do is very refreshing. It takes a lot of skill to be able to take the crazy plot of a movie like Karate Kid III and somehow actually make it suddenly work, and they actually pull it off! This is how you do a legacy sequel, hands down.

If you go back to Season 5 Silver vs Daniel, It looks like Silver was going to hand over the trophy to Daniel before Daniel kicked him.

when silver knew it was chozen because chozen exposed himself of coming from okinawa, but how did silver know it was chozen instead of some random other guy from okinawa? he never saw chozen before did he?

The sixth and final season. I would like to have seen some Easter Eggs (References), mentions or guest appearances. 1) Neil Patrick Harris just using the name Barney 2) The shrine from the Karate Kid cartoon 3) No More Kings 4) Wax On, F Off 5) Julie Pierce of course.

Thanks. I heard some years back one of the writers mentioned the small shrine from the cartoon might make an appearance. Likely in Japan with Chozen, but I must have missed it, as I did not notice. If you are able to give some of these ideas to the showrunners, then it might be taken into consideration. I think you know all the references I listed down and their connection to the Karate Kid universe.@@KenCole
