This video helped me save so much money! I was transferring my collection from wood humidors to an acrylic humidor. But the Boveda acrylic one is so expensive I could only afford one but when I saw this video, BINGO! Perfect, cheap tupperdor with wood trays. Thanks Kevin!

Cool..I've seen several ppl recommend these in some of the FB groups I'm a member of..especially for someone who is new to cigar smoking. They say they're very easy to maintain..a lot less work so to speak..like a set it & forget it type of thing..I think it's a great move for someone who has a busy lifestyle and wants to have something to keep their cigars safe..the box to put it in is a great cosmetic upgrade!

Go to Target and get a Rubbermaid brilliance container...the largest one holds about 30 robustos easily. Throw a boveda pack in there and off you go.

I have a sistema tuperdor myself. It's a bit smaller than that one and I use it strictly for traveling. Spent a week at the beach this summer and it worked great. Took about 20 cigars, a couple 69% boveda packs it was splendid. Edit: putting those cedar trays in is totally unnecessary. Cut $28 off the price. You dont need them.

I ordered 2 Mantello Cigars Cedar Trays and this same Sistema 1870 236 oz container. The dimensions were accurate, however I'm not able to stack 2 trays in the Sistema container like I see in various pics online. The container is about 1/4" short and the lid won't seal. The trays are correct dimensions, however the dimensions of the Sistema container are outside, not inside dimensions. Not quite sure how everyone is able to stack 2 of these trays and still seal the lid?

Best thing I did with my cigars is put them in the Sistema container. Like Bob said zero maintenance and my Boveda 60 gram packs have lasted me a little over a year. ( 4 packs in each tupperdor). Just did a refresher on the Boveda packs and the old ones I could still be using, no hardness to them at all. I have a hygrometer in there just to keep track of temperature as the humidity is solid at 69. I will be reaching out to Bob to get me one of these boxes and it will be sweet to keep them in.

We use the largest Rubbermaid Brilliance container as a travelling/home humidor. I keep a lot of my favorite cigars in it at home for easy access. It holds about 30 cigars. I bought the same tupperdor with the two Spanish cedar trays, seasoned the trays in the tupperdor for 14 days using 69% Boveda packs as shown in your video, calibrated my digital hygrometer, no cigars are in the tupperdor and yet my RH levels only get up to 64% away from any direct sunlight. When I take the wood trays out, my RH levels reach and stay at 69%. So clearly the trays are absorbing much of the RH from the Boveda packs. Should I bump up the Boveda packs to 72% or 75% RH to gain the few RH points to reach that sweet spot of 65-69% RH, re-season the trays in the tupperdor with 84% Boveda packs, or is 64% RH ok. Keep in mind I live in Texas and do have a mixture of about 20 Old World Cigars and about 40 New World Cigars. Thanks in advance, great videos and channel!!!

I would add cigars and just monitor them. Eventually everything is going to come to an equilibrium. It's just going to take a little bit of time.

u said when u traveled u stick your lighters in there. Im guessing youre not talking about plane travels because they dont let torchlighters in your check in or carry on. Sucks

I usually just buy a lighter at the airport when I get to my destination. I can't wait till they start allowing torchlighters again!
