Thanks for the kind words! It’s so nice to hear. I also have dreams of one day making music and videos full time. I do it for the love of the craft and that’s the bottom line for me. Even if I become rich and famous I’ll probably end up just as miserable as every other celebrity in the world. In the end everyone who hears my music will die and the sun will explode, so I concentrate on making art that is fulfilling for me. Having said that, here are some bullet points I wrote down when I started. 1. Be yourself. Don’t put on an act because you won’t be able to keep it up (plus everyone will see right through you). 2. Make a schedule. Being prolific takes organization. 3. Don’t settle. Only release work that you’re proud of at that moment. 4. Never look back. 5. Cultivate a workaholic mindset. Work so hard you make other eager beavers look like they are slacking off. 6. Education is an honorable pursuit, whether it’s for yourself or to teach others. 7. Only make art that appeals to you. No one else matters. The only reason to seek a reaction is to ensure your message is getting across (and it’s ok if no one gets it anyway). Here’s another quote that helps me from time to time: “You gotta do your work all the time. But I'm talking about the same kind of work, the same style, so people recognize you and don't get confused. Then once you're famous, airborn, you gotta keep doing it in the same way even after it's boring, unless you want people to get mad at you. Which they will anyway.” -Julian Schnabel

Brian Hurley I made patch like that before on the Sub37 where the noise volume is set to the mod wheel. With a little tweaking you can get an effect like that.

@@StephenLearson Oh.... that's like smart and stuff... On another note, if you didnt have the OB-6 and had that money to spend today, would you still buy it or get the UDO or Polybrute or Prophet 5/10 instead? I totally understand the sounds of the OB-6 for 80s tunes. I'm debating on what would give me the most new sound creation flexibility. I feel like the PB is the pick but sometimes the Arturia OSC sound hollow or tin-ey. I should add that I have a Matriarch and a Pro3.

@@blindianajones Every synth you mentioned looks amazing. The Polybrute is just about the sexiest synth I've ever seen. Ribbon controller, yes! 64 sequencer buttons, Yes! That Morphee pad thingy, YES! The Super 6 looks great as well. The stereo imaging in all the demos I've heard is on point. I'm interested in The new Prophet 5/10 too, but it's probably the one synth that won't do anything new. That's the synth you get to make those authentic 80's sounds.
