As I've watched your journey through the start I've seen Josh's carpentry skills push his electrician skills almost secondary. However, I have never seen a woman like Erin before. She is the perfect wife, mother and has learned animal husbandry, concrete, demolition, carpentry, welding,videography, film editor and so many other skills. I've watched her lift and carry heavy items some men can't and work equally alongside Josh in this construction, always with uncanny jokes and wonderful smiles. You, Erin, are an exemplary person and a woman to be recognized.

As a retired carpenter of 50 plus years , sir I salute you . Given that you have no formal training in carpentry , it ids my opinion that you are doing an incredibly good job,.

Watching with my WWOG hoodie on - after watching Josh build this vanity, I still think he’s a Norm Abram’s level master carpenter. This can be seen in his level of detail preparation before fastening one board to another, and his addition of simple, eye pleasing details on each drawer.

The good thing about your vanity as it will be solid, sturdy and made out of entirely solid wood not like sold in stores. You guys continue to do solid work for your family. Enjoy your thanksgiving in your new and warm home with your family.

Josh went from Electrician,to framer,to welding, to carpenter,concrete ,framing and working,to cabinet maker. Erin went from teaching in schools to home schooling to framing,welding, concrete,to finishing concret and tile. Turkeys are so funny. My son has some on his farm. One day I was watching my grandson, while my son and his wife went out to move some sheep. I hear my son out there yelling at one of the rams, and every time he would yell the turkeys would chorus back.

WOWZER, for a guy that does not have a shop and few tools, and no building training, you do a great job of building everything you set your mind and heart into. The vanity looks great. Prefab units from the store with someone else's vision just doesn't compete with thoughtful personal design and touch. Josh added a spark of genius in edging the faceplate with that molding. Erin is an exquisite poet-philosopher with her summaries. The videos themselves are professional with exceptional artistic quality.

Each video just reinforces my belief that these two are a perfect partnership and the whole family is just wonderful! The level of skills Josh brings to his work is just awesome and Erin's enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills is brilliant! You both rock!

@12:53 Tip: stain every part of the frame. Due to moisture in the bathroom, untreated parts can warp more than the stained parts.

You need a Kreg pocket hole jig for putting in the angled screws.

i took a 12 by 24 shed into a workable home for myself on 9 acres but was all halted by my A-Fib event and paralysis after intubation which I endured over 3 months. I walked out of rehab the day before I turned 65. I have such admiration for you, your family and friends and congratulate both of you!!!

Stunning vanity! and hearing about Josh's progress in woodwork is SO VERY encouraging for me. My late father was a master carpenter and amazing wood artisan. My hubby and I have purchased a small 1/2 acre lakeside lot just outside of Tyler TX for us and our two 13yo boys and I'll be building an a-frame cabin on it. Literally found your channel 3 days ago and went on a crazy crazy binge watching all of the videos on both channels!! Very inspiring!! My husband is a piping supervisor, we’ve been all over the coasts while he worked to build refinery, petrochemical facilities, etc. just recently due to covid we moved back home to north East Texas in the middle of nowhere hoping to build a home from the ground up just us! We have 4 kids ages 15 months, 5, 10 and 11 and hoping to build an awesome debt free home within the next 2 years!! We came across the foundation video with using the piers which we plan to use as well and The video was so inspiring!!! I know we can do it now, just takes the sacrifice and motivation. Whenever you build furniture, it is always best to use a Kreg gig to help make all the connections. I'm sure that what you have will work. While you are at Lowes you might want to check out the gig. Once you start using the gig you'll wonder how you survived without it. Also, when making drawers, use a dovetailing gig and a router for a real professional touch to your work. I’ve been following your journey since the house was just a foundation of piers and the floor joists. I’ve always loved A-frame houses and yours is a beautiful example of the design. But, the thing I love the most is watching your family work, play and grow together. The two of you are fantastic parents. The love you have for your kids and each other glows in every episode. The obvious confidence your boys exhibit in their love of the outdoors and helping with farm chores, and the way they look out for their baby sister is a testament to your parenting. Watching your kids grow up and learn from you both and seeing how you both grow with each other is inspiring. And your little girl is just precious.
