A legendary coach and a great person. Every lifter should go and buy his book with Brian Dobson, Metroflex Gym Powerbuilding Basics --- it has a TON of different programs and exercises!
Yeah, it honestly has 53 different routines/workouts. My favorite routine from the book is number 8, which is Josh's deadlift program that he used to take his deadlift from 600 to 661. It's an 18 week once a week back-day type of program.
What about the Big Black Bear James Williams who bench press 675lbs almost 50 year no straps are supplements or steroids and all time best bench at a meet was 720lbs unofficially!
Kirill sarychev??? I know he is heavy but cmon he is holding the all time wr.You know its one thing someone to bench from 200 kg to 235 kg,but its whole other thing to bench from 300 kg to 335.Not the same 35 kg if you ask me
Really no one talks about custom benches here, just going To LA fitness or Golds etc, your not going to be able to geta Perfect for you bench with Safety Bars
You seem to get the point but a dead press is utilized to eliminate the stretch reflex that you gain on the eccentric. Your sets will be at a little lower weight then your max on reg bench
I've bought about 30 or so ebooks. 2 are from Josh Bryant. 1.) MetroFlex Gym: Powerbuilding Basics = Best fucking ebook ever! By far! 2.) Bench Press: The Science = WORST fucking ebook ever! By far! Still pissed about having spent $10.95 (about 3-4 years ago) on this ebook that was probably written while roasting marshmallows.
