Great job! 2 ideas I had to get the EGA to sit in the flag would be 1) true up the circle of the EGA And/or 2) put a rabbet around the EGA and use the circle jig still. Looks great, very helpful tips

I love the razor blade idea! That is really helpful! I've planned to make a flag for my sister-in-law (my brother is in the Army), and this is just a great design. Thank you for sharing the step by step!

Great project with very easy to follow instructions. I’ve watched all your videos, now, and it’s hard to believe you’re relatively new to YT. You’ve done a great job using this platform. Keep it up and thanks for your service!

razor blades or a sticky side tape either way both works great

Razor blades work great! I've tried painters tape, and will still get bleed through.

What are the names of the color blue and red you used? Is this transparent stain or painted stain??
@biscuittreewoodworks
@biscuittreewoodworks День назад
Materials should be listed in the video description. I believe it’s water based semitransparent stain.

Why did you choose to glue together instead of using slats on the back like I have seen a lot of others do?
@biscuittreewoodworks
@biscuittreewoodworks 3 месяца назад
Better overall product. The boards are perfectly aligned and will stay that way. The flag can sit flat against the wall and not be sticking out due to slats in the back.

Great work, really enjoying all the videos so far! Random question, what’s your set up for keeping the shop cool in the summer & warm in the winter? Not sure where you’re at, but noticed the ac unit in the background as you’re working on the emblem. I’m in the mid south with a west facing garage, so that’s a huge deterrent from working on projects during the warmer months. Any feedback is great, may or may not be wide enough for a video topic. thanks!

I’m in Texas, just south of Houston. I insulated the garage doors and had a mini split AC unit installed. It does a very good job keeping the shop cool during the summer. When it gets too cold in the shop I have a small electric space heater, but there’s only a few weeks out of the year I need to do that.
