I’m making a Cedh tetzin deck and let me tell you Chrome host seed shark goes NUTS in this deck because every artifact (noncreature) will trigger chrome host which will make an incubator token, that token will trigger tetzin and will mill three and possibly get you an artifact. When you get an artifact you can cast it with mana and if it’s a mana rock even better because now you’ve casted a noncreature (hopefully) which starts the cycle again. With mycosnyth lattice and enough artifact discounts this deck goes nuts and your entire deck basically goes half into your graveyard and half onto the battlefield and then you transform tetzin and start punching

Does his ability to create two 1/1 colorless tokens also trigger when he attacks? If so, do you need to transform a double-sided artifact or does it create it even if you don't transform any?

Reading the card explains the card: The other side has one ability, that triggers when it enters or attacks. What you are thinking of would be: Whenever The Golden-Gear Colossus enters the battlefield, transform up to one other target double-faced artifact you control. Create two 1/1 colorless Gnome artifact creature tokens. Whenever The Golden-Gear Colossus attacks, transform up to one other target double-faced artifact you control. Or: Whenever The Golden-Gear Colossus enters the battlefield or attacks, transform one other target double-face artifact you control. When you do, create two 1/1 colorless Gnome artifact creature tokens.

I'm sorry but I really don't get what the synergy with Jin-Gitaxias (and Elesh as well but at least she makes artifacts) is. You should not be able to transform it since its not a double faced artifact and that means it has no upside. Am I missing something?

Liquimetal coating will turn it into an artifact for the turn.

Both cards are decent on their own, and if you run cards like liquimetal torque you can make them artifacts to transform. It’s pure upside that you can do that, both cards are pretty good without that.
