@@francisdiocton8052 thank you for watching and commenting, I’m using 90mm uPVC storm water vent pipe. It is a common and inexpensive pipe size here for storm water transfer.
Thanks for replying. I'll try to see if we have similar pipes here in the Philippines. I'm growing fish and I want to pump the water in the fish tank to a system such as this one.
Hi Brian, great design and I’m planning to have a shot at this. Would you tell me what size pots you have used here? Also the drill bore diameter. I couldn’t see it in the video. Cheers..
hey mate, do you think you could get away with closing the 90mm ends and using a 19mm tub outlet towards the top to help with keeping a reservoir in the pipe as an alternative to the glued half cut plastic siliconed within the pvc pipes?
How do you control the water level inside the pipes? I couldn't see that you set a height for it to begin to return. Also, how often do you cycle water through and does any water stay in the pipes while it's not pumping? Or do they fully drain?
The plastic quarter moons glued into the end of the pipe keep the nutrient solution level with the bottom of the net pots at all times. The system runs 24/7.
Hi Brian, thanks for taking the time to create and share videos for us 🙏 Does either this horizontal system or your vertical system have to be on a slight angle for the water to flow back to reservoir?
