been watching your videos on mekanism as i've never really gotten deeper into it than surface level until i started playing all the mods 9. you do a very good job and breaking things down and making it super easy to follow along with.
I wanted to make an advanced solar generator for some early game passive power... in ATM6 To The Sky. The recipe has been modified to use Powah solar panels instead of glass panes for the Mekanism panels. That takes you 2 level deeper in the craft: 3 Powah panels for each generator, and 3 Powah starter panels for each Powah solar panel. After 3-4 hours of sieving and growing Lapis essence with Mystical Agriculture, eventually I built it. With that being said, I'm probably not going to do that again any time soon. At least not without AE2 or Refined Storage autocrafting.
@@darkstonefire I think you mean the heat generator, or what it's called. The resistive heater uses energy to speed up the operation of the thermal evaporation plant. Took me a while to figure out how to use the thermal pipes. But the main point of the original comment was that, being my first time playing a quest modpack, I didn't realize that the solar generator wasn't an actual quest until after I built it, and saw that nothing happened. Lesson learned 😂
@@darkstonefire I've been playing FTB Revelation for a long time, and the mods in newer MC versions were so different, I found it difficult to make the transition. Mekanism is a great technology mod, though, but I miss things like Thaumcraft, EnderIO, or Draconic Evolution. If Revelation had Mekanism instead of Thermal or IC, it would be perfect. It would also be incredibly OP 😂
@@longbow192 I find myself constantly resisting the urge to use project E in every pack I play, quite nice to find the complex machines in Mekanism can be printed but not the resources felt like a more balanced approach
And here I was, making a beautiful UUNDERGROUND POWER PLANT AREA, beautiful to behold, then you said Put the ADVANCED SOLAR GENERATORS on the corners, and I nearly uninstalled the game.
The evaporation plants are a reason to use the thermal pipe they allow the heat made by the resistive heaters to be pumped in via a valve allow your power grid to heat the evaporator even at night
What's even better to use is actually a resistive heater if u have lots of energy, gas burning generator, lots of wheat, carrots, potatoes or sugar canes u can get more heat I have connected a resistive heater to energy cables and set the usage of energy 1Keu i think it's way much better and u don't need to waste so much resources for advanced solar generators unless there's another solution is using a fuel wood heater it doesn't require energy to create heat but requires coal but i haven't tested which one is better but using a resistive heater is better than advanced solar generators with it u can reach the maximum production 1080mb/t of brine also make sure ur capacity of the cables have high energy capacity advanced cables prob would be great
i have a 18 blocks high ecaporation plant but it dont acept the water can someone explane to me why i try it on the bottom and on the top nothing works
why are u not using silk touch in digital miner? u could quadruple our ores already and ethylene setup can actually support digital miner with 4 speed upgrades on silk touch mode
