Thanks for the vid. Learned something new again in Dayz. No wonder I was wondering what those treasure chest where for when I found a few roaming around. I even was carrying one around from one town to another and then I died from starvation. ;)

Archie’s guide videos are the best to become pro at DayZ. You also lose more food and water if carrying a sea chest as it is considered heavy

I just started a few days ago. Ive created stashes for persistence many times and died from starvation searching for a digging tool every time. They need to implement some mechanics from 7 days to die so we can make a pickaxe from a stick and a rock.

I agree. Check sheds for garden hoes, shovels and pickaxes.

Is there a way to know when the server resets in one's case that they could be there to save some of their hidden loot before it despawns? Only played the game for a few days now. Lots to learn. I enjoy it alot.

Is it server specific? Like if I bury stuff in server official 3410 and then go to the same spot and dig when on server official 5647 will the stuff be there?

Damn, pretty sure my drybag totally glitched out. Not the worse thing in the world, just had some extra clothes and “nice to haves” in it. An extra gun, no mag in it. Definitely was hoping to save it tho. Any suggestions?

If you buried it under a structure, sometimes it bugs out and spawns on the roof.

it has been many months now, i have grown wiser and learned the way of chernarus and so now i can confirm, you cannot bury loot with picks, axes, picksaxes or saxes.

Thereal question is. How does one transport a Seachest up north? and even better, how does a NOMAD who doesn't have a car, get a sea chest up north? i am gas poisoned :P
