I did exactly what he said not to do and it worked out well. As I was scrolling down I saw Bluetooth audio was turned up to 35 and usb audio was at 30. I always knew when I played my music through Bluetooth it seemed louder than when I used the USB for CarPlay. I always thought it was just a CarPlay thing. Now my system is louder when connected through USB with CarPlay. Plus I got rid of the warning screen. Great video. Win win. This is why I bought the linkswell over other comparable competitors. The customer support is nice.
It might. Depends what the tuner is doing inside the CanBus. If the tuner changes enough of the factory code it may mess up how our radio communicates to the vehicle.
You can. I use sygic for my navigation. Under settings, under navigation you can select the navigation app. Then click save and reboot. The when you select navigation it will open the navigation automatically. Hope this helps you.
Good afternoon. I was wondering if you could offer me any help.... I installed the gen 5 12.1 on my 2020 ram 1500 Big Horn and it will not power off. Am i missing something, is there a setting i can change?
Can you make a video concerning the Factory Reboot options or Technical repair options….. My AC stop working and my F150 Senor Error codes for my Airbags and Rear motion detector for my tail lights are stopped working.
@@LinksWellInc yes programmable icons on the Home Screen will reset to default. Then the stations from the FM radio will completely reset like I’ve never set them before. I don’t know if other settings are doing this. I have not noticed anything else
@@BR3WCITYx my gen 4 used to do that like a year ago. it was pretty annoying, but, has since stopped. I do figure itll happen again, and ill have to reset all my stations over.
I have a gen 4 t style for Wrangler JL and it keeps rebooting. I reached out to tech support and they won't help me since I bought it thru Amazon. and now it will not even turn off. I bought this 7 months ago. please help
I have a 15.6” t style and I get to the factory setting and only have 4 options on the left where y’all have 7. I have no install set option. Do you know why this is?
@@christianulm4307 so either you installed an app that is forcing the screen to lock. Or something funky happens and try pressing the factory reset button
@@LinksWellInc do you guys make a screen protector for this version? I have left the factory one on because I them in our work trucks. I am in construction and the guys are guaranteed to scratch it.
@@terryhaley9680 so because the radio isn’t powered on by the factory remote start the radio can not command the AC. It’s like asking a computer to run a program while it’s powered off. Just can’t do it. You can try reaching out to the techs on our website and see if they have been able to create a loop in the CanBus to allow the AC to work in remote start. I know we have on some model vehicles. Not sure on the older F-150.
@@terryhaley9680 correct. Because the factory radio wasn’t responsible for the AC controls. There was a completely different part in the truck responsible to control the climate controls. So when the factory remote start doesn’t power in the ACC circuit which the radio is on, the factory Climate controls panel gets its power separately through IGN and will work no problem. So it has power and can control. But because with our system they become one controlling part, if it isn’t powered on, again because the factory remote start doesn’t power on the ACC circuit, the radio doesn’t know to be on, so it don’t know to control anything. An aftermarket remote start that gives you the option to power the ACC circuit fixed the problem. With the factory it takes A lot of trying to work around the system not having power but being able to command.
@@terryhaley9680 work with the company to have them power on the ACC circuit. If they power the ACC then the radio will power on and the climate will work.
My radio has not been connecting to the bluetooth on my phone consistently. I've had the radio for 5 days now and it has been on again, off again in terms of connecting to android auto via zlynk. I've been communicating back and forth via email but im still experiencing the same issues and I really need help. It's not that the car doesn't connect at all to my phone, it's that it connects sometimes and then sometimes it does not. Or, it will connect and then disconnect on its own and not reconnect, even when I manually select the device thru my phone to connect. I was previously advised to delete zlynk update .26 and download .18, which I did. Do you think that's playing a part in the sporadic connection issues? Should I Uninstall .18 and try again with .26? I really love the radio but I'm getting frustrated with this issue. Have you guys had any other complaints about this? Maybe it's an android thing? Android recently dropped a software update. Maybe that's playing a role in this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

@LinksWell Inc. Hey so I've been in communication with someone on the tech side and they sent me version .34 two days ago. I've been running it since. So far, the wireless android auto still hasn't been connecting regularly (it's connected twice in about 15 tries) but I have been able to connect via the wired android auto thru the stock media hub in the jeep. I figured that out once I got fed up of waiting for the wireless android auto and wanting to charge my phone, I plugged the phone into the type-c connector on the media hub and about a minute later, the android auto connected. Since then, just about everytime I plug my phone into the charging port, it connects. So, even though it's not wirelessly connecting on a consistent basis, it's atleast now connecting via wired on a consistent basis. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out soon. Thanks so much for replying though. I'm really enjoying the radio so far. Still have lots of questions though so I'll be hitting you guys up again for sure! Lol
iPhone is connected to the radio by cable for CarPlay but will not allow me to speak to the people when I’m making a phone call. They can’t hear me but I can hear them. What am I missing here?
Mine will stay on if I use them. Had a shop say it could be a canbox issue. Haven't bothered with it lately because I never use my hazards but if I hit them then it takes a bunch of triple taps to get them to turn off.
I pressed the MCU upgrade by mistake on the nova launcher app and it automatically rebooted the device. Now my climate control, volume, radio station, not working. The device wont shut down. As for now i disconnected the device.
Depends what is causing it. Not a common issues. So we would need to figure out what is happening. Have you reached out to your dealer to have them look at it?
No I havnt they or 2 hours away I havnt had time it works fine just when the truck has set for 6 hours or so when I frist start it up it reboots several times after that it's good to go it seems to do it more when it's colder outside
@@LinksWellInc yeah the white little speed limit sign on the speedometer doesn’t show the speed limit for the street im on anymore its just blank ever since i installed the screen… its a 2017 sierra and also the camera is terrible, i can barely see anything especially at night
@@alangutierrez3612 so the speed limit info is lost because the factory navigation isn’t in there to give the cluster the data. The camera on the GM’s are notoriously weak signals. So often swapping radios on them the image is grainy or dark because the weak signal.
Under settings, I believe under video there is a an option that is off, click it to on and then you will be able to play videos while your vehicle is in motion. Hope this helps you.
@@jeffreyguzman9230 so if it’s a Gen 4B there is no HDMI in. Covid made the company that made the chips for us go out of business so we had a shift in production between the Gen 4A and Gen 4B. Gen 4B doesn’t have HDMI input.
