Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel and welcome to all new viewers! My name is Olka and I’m a UK based vet and today I’d like to talk to you about postoperative care in dogs and cats. My little baby just needed a $4200 surgery. Combined with all other expenses for this and it came out at almost exactly $5000. I have some people trying to tell me that I should have put the money in a retirement account or something, not spent it on a cat. I love that little idiot and don't regret any of it. She's only 3. She has many days of birdwatching ahead of her. She's doing pretty well. She's eating again and is even causing trouble by getting on the counters (which she's not allowed to do after 5 incisions into her abdomen). I think she'll be fine.

Our animals are family and deserve to be treated ad such. It’s the reason l always have pet plan as would hate to be put in a position where I could not afford treatment for my cats. I would do the same as you if I did not have insurance x

You did an amazing thing!! Animals deserve just as an amazing life as humans my dog might need surgery she might have mammary gland cancer

currently going through this, trying to save up for my cuddle buddy. he needs surgery in both hips, just got him 5months ago and he’s three but he’s got his claws in my heart❤️

My whole family called me stupid for the same thing but I don't care. I can't live a day without my cat. She's so precious more than any amount of money. Money comes and goes but my baby doesn't.
