Follow along with this video and you will be able to get a level 100 Gengar before even fighting Brock! Nintendo and pokemon own all the music, characters, and game in this video no copyright intended.
to anyone who says its stupid to have this thing go to level 100 that easily hasn't played the stadium games, its near impossible to beat those games without a decent team, and that's where gengy comes in
+NextLevelGamer anyone who says anything about glitching being stupid is stupid. Don't want a lvl 100 right off the bat? don't get one, am I right? Tell them to fuk off and let you play your own way.
Ryland Tappe-Inglis I always glitch rare candies to save time. this just saves more time if you get one this early on. play however you wish to, but I'll still just use whatever glitch will help me save time training.
For those that are curious, this is a combination of two glitches called “Trainer Fly” and “Experience underflow”, so you can look them up if you wish.
joe branco you can't know exactly..its the same trick for mew...you just change the last Pokemon you battle...for mew for example I think special must be 21
Most people call this a glitch, I think it's more of a half-glitch. Going from level 1 to level 100, yeah, that's a glitch. But the gengar itself, along with the Nidoking, the fact that they actually have messages, I don't think the encounters are glitches. I think they're intentional, and are supposed to be little secrets for the player to get. But, it's just my thoughts backed up with some logic. Feel free too agree or disagree.
@@amystinsman-butler9042 It's a glitch. The game gets confused on memory and does stuff it isn't supposed to do. The text is just the game applying a text from somewhere in the memory. You could get dialog text popping out of nowhere doing nothing for no reason by doing other glitches too. It isn't secrets or easter eggs. It's the dev making mistakes leading to bad behavior of the program.
no like seriously I spent a good solid hour trying to set this up only to crit him, and what that gengar will never know is that crit hurt me more than it did him...
this works. i am using my oldschool gameboy color playing it and almost shit my pants when it worked. i was too strong to attack him so i paralyzed him and my last pokeball caught him. he also leveled up straight to 100. amazing.
WOW thanks, never even knew about this...man i wonder if there are any more cheats/hacks/secrets about gen 1 games that havent even been discovered yet :O
why is this so hard for me?? i've followed the instructions in this video and we've met with gengar and i tried to hurt it but when i attempt to catch it with pokeballs he manage to escape until i've used all 10 pokeballs i have. who do i get gengar like in the video easily.
You can also get a level 100 Nidoqueen doing a very similar method. With the last trainer in the forest you need to encounter a wild pokémon as you step in front of him triggering a battle before he notices you. Faint to that pokémon and warp back to Veridian City. Then head west and against your rivals Eevee growl six times. When you reenter the forest a similar thing will occur. It's a little more difficult to do. I recommend grinding a caterpie up to Butterfree to gain access to stun spore to make it slightly easier for the encounter as you want less money and more shots limited on pokéballs. Edit- You can get both of them if you are careful around that trainer in this video not to trigger him too early. And it is doable in virtual console on the 3DS.
Couldn't believe this worked first try omg 🎉🎉🎉 six growls and two tail whips in the gym kid battle like someone else mentioned seems to do the trick nicely as well! My little trickster refused all the poke balls I threw right up until the very last 😂😂 Also got him to level 100 from his first battle! Awesome stuff 😄😁👍
When i fought him the first thing that came up before the battle that was text saying"I brought some friends here they are in pokemon fights" then it start it
"Shh... You'll scare the bugs away." Well, it sure didn't scare this amazing bug. Did the developers put this in like the mew glitch for red and blue? I will try this tomorrow after i findy yellow ver cartrdge
I forgot to fight the first trainer mentioned and did this stuff..when i entered the forrest i did not encounter a wild genger, but a wild trainer who fought me. after i beat him the game froze and all sounds the game has started playing after i pressed down
So, I continually get the bug catcher when entering the forest. I'm relatively familiar with this leash glitch as I've used this method to fill my pokedex. fulfilling all contingencies for this to work. getting 6x growls in and letting diglet ko pikachu and still get bug catcher.
Ok, figured it out. the first bug cather on the right side of the forest has to be defeated first. Same issue will occur throughout the game with other trainers when attempting this glitch, I've noticed.
Oh, i finally got this working but i ran out of pokeballs i had 6x but any of those didn't catch and a little tip, your pikachu should lvl 7 when fighting Gengar cause lvl 8 your pika will faint the gengar and lvl 6 it doesn't do that much dmg than the lvl 7
You cant have higher than level 7 pikachu or he will kill Gengar in one attack. You cant catch Gengar unless you weaken him. Lose your battle to Gary at the start, plus run from every pokemon that appears. Only battle the two trainers in Veridian Forest. Also, buy at least 10 poke balls... I dont know how he catches him so easily but it took me about 6-7 to catch him. Hope that helps.
If you beat Gary beside the Pokemon League before going to Viridian Forest and without catching ANY Pokemon or buying anything beforehand and going back to Prof. Oak, he will give you 5 Pokeballs. Not sure if that'll make a difference though, but now you have 15.
I did that and go back,i was able to get at same spot by "changing some actions" Gengar,Exeggute,Exeggutor,Nidoking,Ivysaur,Slowbro and Voltorb. (Lvl1~7) If u capture and REPEAT the Hope at same spot and go back to Gym too, you're able to get another one. I didn't try a third time but i guess that will work too. I get a lot of mesages at that same spot and also no mesage just random enconter too. The same happen in front of PokeCenter using escape rope after enter that last door before the encounter bug. (I came here with some friend's/They are out for POKEMON fights) (ASH is out of useable POKEMON!/ASH blacked out) (I give! You're good at this!) (Hi,do you have a PIKACHU?)
