Yeah it’s illegal to stake now days, you have to have a marked bouy and anchor at each end. Too many nets got washed away and became ghost nets doing damage
Thanks bro. You made it look way easier than what I was told, which was I needed 2 spade anchors one big, one small a couple of floats a length of rope to drag it in from the shore at high tide after having set it at low tide 6 hrs earlier blah blah blah and it almost put me off completely and then I see your vid with what looked like a couple of Waratahs and maybe an hour or two if that by the look of the tide when you started till when you finished. Cheers
Nah mate easy as just drag flounder net out with couple stakes on each end and 2 hourse eith side of low gives u four hours can splash or wait for flounder to go out, easy as mateplease subscribe, where are you from?
@@onlandersfishing1740 Hey mate well done on your catch. For your own knowledge it is illegal to stake out a net like that. Mpi would give you a stern telling off and a 250 dollar fine. All set nets must use anchors and floats at both ends and floats must be marked with name and phone number. You can download the nz fishing app to your phone and have all the rules and limits so you know your are fishing legally
Cool video bro, can't beat a good feed of flounder. Just a heads up tho, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to stake or peg a net down in all of New Zealand. Lots of rules wen fishing with nets. Call the fisheries and they will tell you what you can and can't do in your area, save afar fine and loosing the net
