Inshore fishing on the kayak at anchor whilst targeting Gilthead bream using worm and clam baits -
In this video I paddle out onto Jerseys East coast to try my luck at catching some more Gilthead bream from the Kayak.
This video is ideal for beginners that want to learn how to catch gilthead bream.
Catching Gilthead bream from the Kayak has been extremely good fun previously.
I thought I’d take the GoPro cameras out with me to see if we could catch a few Gilthead bream on camera
I had dug some fresh lug worm and gathered some razor clams the day before so with the bait all sorted it was time to hit the water and catch try for some Gilthead bream.

The majority of the stuff goes back matey however my dog has got a taste for Gilthead so I might just have to bring a few home for us to try again. il have to get the BBQ fired up one evening!

Sam cracking video this has made me frothing to geek out on the North Devon coast on Tuesday. Lures and artificials but want to give anchoring and baits a go this season. Love the quick release on the black bream at the end 😆

What a session. No wonder you had a permanent grin. I would too. Down to one rod due to action. Yes please 😀Your camera clarity of video is superb. Editing etc very good. Am yet to catch one of these beauties that fight really well. If I kayak to anchor anywhere around the oyster beds and chance my luck is best option would you say? Any advice much appreciated. The spyro cam would be great to see them feeding. Hope you manage to do this. One you did last year underwater while plugging was interesting to see how many fish took interest in the lure.

yes it was great buddy I really enjoyed it ! if your confident at anchoring your Kayak then I’d say go for it although I like to usually stay a few hundred yards off the beds in order to keep the anchor and line as clear as possible. I’d suggest go out with a few worms some light tackle and try anchoring up slightly closer to the shoreline first. on the bigger tides the tide is absolutely racing out there and can be a bit sketchy. smaller tides though I’d go anywhere just try to avoid features as you’ll end up getting crabbed ! tight lines for when you head out buddy. drop us a message on my Facebook page too :)

loving the vids bro🤟 are you using a fish finder and or navionics and how are you choosing the spots to fish? maybe do a vid on this.

Yes and yes buddy. i use my fish finder which is very basic but on my phone i use the Navionics app to decided where to fish and to get a rough idea where i am. it seem pretty accurate once im in the area i want to fish i just double check my fish finder to check im over the right ground.

hi bud it’s not Shakespeare I literally chucked a load of old fishing stickers I found amongst my stuff in the shed. it’s actuall6 a cool box from Amazon.. I’ll try find the link for you. I’ll also be doing a video soon of how I attach my bixpy motor to it. thanks for watching
