I shot this video back in November and thought I would finally upload it. I will show you a simple technique to Catch Kokanee Salmon in the Sierra National Forest. This technique works here, however it may vary depending on your location. The best thing to do is go out and try! Fishing is a lot of trial and error and if one technique is not working the best thing to do is move on and try something else. Always research the fish species you are trying to target, talk to local fishermen and ask what techniques work for them, and most importantly do research! I hope everyone enjoys this video and if there are any questions feel free to leave a comment down below or you can reach out to me on instagram as well. Until next time!

This is the spot where a fly rod would shine. Effortless casts with a fly rod compared to trying to cast that set up. Do you know how to fly fish?

Never a dull time out there. I typically only go for the Kokanee though. Right now I mainly go off trail and try to find cool streams/creeks

I think it just depends on the location/weather patterns/temperature to be honest. Here in the sierra it usually is most prime in late October/Early November

Puck Graham Good luck! Remember to ask other fishermen around what techniques they are using as well. Every body of water is going to vary in some way as well as the fish.
