Thanks for a good video. I especially appreciate how you released that first fish. Most people I see (including a lot of U tubers) dont release fish (kokanee or trout)correctly. Big thanks, for taking the time to talk about releasing them and the water temps too.
Yes it is important with their survival even with catching them, a lot of people think they can handle a lot more than they actually can. It is important to protect all fisheries. Thank you for the support.
Seeing that fish pop off just as you tried to net it made me feel so much better. When I'm out on my own, that's happened to me way more times than I like to admit. It's nice to have a buddy in the boat to help with that whole process. I might just go up there this weekend and give it a go. Especially when there's the opportunity to switch it up and go small mouth hunting. Thanks for your tips!
Yes get out and fish it, the bite is awesome right now. The small mouth fishing should be picking up too. Right it is so much easier with another person but it is rewarding getting those fish in by yourself.
I can’t find your video on using weights to get to specific depths for Kokanee / trolling. What is the title of that video? I’ll be taking my nephew and his 10 year old son up to Stampede this month. It’s my first time there, so looking forward to seeing it. Great info Thanks for sharing Bury the steel Bro
Yes Bass pro shops will have all the necessary scents and cures. I typically run wedding ring spinners, varying in all sorts of colors. I do like a red and green spinner with a smile blade. You can always check amazon too for the egg cures. I just recently made a video on how to make the corn. You should check it out.
Yes fly fishing stampede is a great time. My best success has been on a float tube using sinking line. Caught a lot of small mouth bass like that. However the best area to fly fish for trout in my opinion is down by the inlet where the little Truckee flows into the lake.
