Thanks for the shout out to my son's channel. He's trying hard, We just upgraded boats from a 16' to a 19' but smelling gas & we'll have to check the tank before we go back out. Great video you’ll love the Terrova! Only think I’ll say about them is the plastic clip on the lanyard is flimsy I lost one to the river on the 4th trip out and those remotes are not cheap…I’ve got mine on a paracord lanyard now kinda like what guys use for duck calls

Another great video from HG. I've had that Terrova 80 for 2 seasons now and I couldn't be happier with it. I've got mine on a pair of Interstate 27 series and as long as I'm not running it on 10, I'll get a full weekend on a single charge and still have half battery left on the indicator. Started bumping this year bc of you and its definitely a work in progress. I've caught quite a few but big ones are pretty hard to come by on the Ohio around Cincy. Love what you're doing man, keep them videos coming!

I have the exact same trolling motor and its great I've never had a issue. I fished a night tournament this past Saturday on the Illinois river for channel cats and every single fish was caught pumping, (it was the only rod I used) I probably caught 40 fish that night and I fished it solo, I was woopped!

Up here in Canada, we use bass tackle for catfish, and there you are, running bass tackle for catching bait. Need to get myself down to the big rivers soon. Great job!

You’re gonna love that Terrova! I’ve got the same one. The ability to spot lock and suspend baits in the big eddies is a game changer!!!! As far as bumping it’s my absolute favorite and almost a guaranteed way to put fish in the boat! Thanks for teaching me 😉. Bon peche fellas!!!!

Nice fishing! Good to see the three of you out together again. I have a question. I fish the upper Mississippi below L&D 25. The current runs heavy, probably3 - 3.5 mph. My trolling motor is not remote controlled. Its just a tiller steer on the bow. Why could a person not bump the bottom from anchor? Start out with heavy enough of a bait to get it down then bump it back? Is the current too fast for that and the sinker need to be too heavy? Do you keep the boat moving with the current but a little slower so that the differential is not so great? You say you are only moving about 1 MPH downriver so the current is only passing you at about 1 MPH.

How do you know what the schedule is for the hydro or the water release is for that lake? The last time I went there the water had no movement and was not able to catch bait.

Most guys on the Mississippi use 36 volt 112lb thrust. That would be ideal but you could probably get by with an 80lb thrust in a lot of places. Thank you for watching and good luck👍

In Louisiana we aren't allowed near our dams anymore. You can't even get too close on the bank! It sucks. Don't let your state take away your freedoms in the name of "safety".
