Vehicle was running rough and had a slight misfire in bank 5. Before attempting to work on the system, find the fuel pump relay (back seat under car) start the car until is stalls out. After that crank the car for a good 10 sec to be sure all fuel pressure is released. Then disconnect negative battery terminal and proceed with servicing the vehicle.

is it hard to replace a fuel injector on 2007 cts 3.6 ?? AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE??

What’s up @makosharkcnc7730. It’s not hard to replace the fuel injectors and if you take your time and don’t lose any parts or break any old parts due to rust depending on the condition of your vehicle I’d say about 2 1/2 hrs. Get all new seals for each injector & use dielectric grease for each electrical connection.

@@Niqu33n Usually a random misfire is from your spark plugs. Fuel injector problems will show a different code on your dash board. Be to be sure & to easily check hit up Auto zone or Advance Auto Parts and as for a code scanner that you can plug into your car. They have ones that are cheap that can help you find out what code you are seeing. Underneath your steering wheel there should be a plug in spot that you plug the code reader into.

@@Niqu33nOk that’s the computer telling you about the misfire. You could do the job yourself or you could I take it to your local mechanic if you can make it there with out it cutting off and see what they say. Mention a misfire and you would like a tune up. Which will be new spark plugs and coils.
