A jockey wheel is simply made up of an outer section with a male threaded bar and an inner section with a female thread. The two simply wind together and interlock.
When changing a jockey wheel, you simply need to wind the outer section from the inner section, pull the inner section down from the bottom and the outer section up from the top.
Often, the tube will bend on a jockey wheel, in which case you need to replace the whole assembly but there are occasions where the tyre will fragment on the actual wheel itself and you are able to change that as a separate item.
