How is the light spread? I ask because this headlight assembly doesn't have a projector. The OEM bulb is halogen, I would assume the xenon HID bulb you put would blind every passing car
The hardest part of this was to return the new lamp & connector base back into the headlight assembly. The "little wire spring" also came off and created problems. Ultimately busted the new $100 lamp and took the whole mess to the dealer. This is the last Volvo I will ever own...
Yeah, having worked on lots of cars over the last 30 years I have to agree with him. My wife has a 2005 XC70 and I seem to be forever putting it up on my scissor lift to do something to it. The poor design/quality of some components compared to many other manufacturers stands out. That’s before I get onto wholly avoidable electrical problems with this model and the XC90. My 1968 Amazon, and my fathers 245 /740 different ball game and quality and a philosophy of building with repair in mind clearly evident. Stripped a W210 merc down to bare shell and impressed with general design/quality. Volvo were great cars but not anymore. Full marks for your video though and helping people navigate such tasks! 👍
