Instead of removing the brake shoe, its easyer to just remove the hub with a slidehammer.

Done this almost exactly the same way before. Worked great but the second time around I cracked one of those cast iron things. lol buy extras or use that socket like you did I could have saved myself a trip to the shop had I thought of using a big ass socket

I'm in the middle of doing this on my iX right now, but was only planning on doing the rear seeing as the front bearings seem fine. Let me know how the front end goes, I'm curious as to what different obstacles I'd hit doing the front ones

Looked to me like you pulled out half the old bearing still attached to the back of the wheel hub. You might want to mention you had to remove that before re-fitting the hub.....

Was thinking the same thing just now. Was thinking why we see a nice skateboard looking bearing and earlier it was obvious exposed ball bearings

What size wheels are you running with this set up. Do you need to have spacers for them to fit. And finally do you need to pull the fenders for them to fit.

yep... fcpeuro .. they even lifetime on brake pads.... just buy the new ones when needed and ship back the old ones. they then credit the purchase of the new pads.
