In this video I'll walk you through the steps of changing the auxiliary water pump on a BMW E53 4.4i with the M62 engine, but it also applies for platforms using the same engine, like 750i or 540i, and will be very similar in the N62. I'll also show the coolant bleeding procedure as it has been center of debate.
The auxiliary water pump or secondary water pump can cause fuse 48 to trigger, disabling the climate control unit, leaving you without any control over interior temperature or fan speed.
