That is so cool to see someone as young as You into a Corvair & not mention a 1st year 1960 ! model 700 , 4dr. I had 1 at 1 time cascade green & the 60 is still my favorite of the 1st gen. I still own 3 Corvairs 64,65& a 67 the 64 is a window van ( Grenbrier ) The thing I like about the 60 is it has allot of 1 year only Items including the body style though subtle & was the only Corvair to have the CHEVORLET scrip on it ( rear deck lid ) Keep up the good work , I like to see more post from You thanks for the video

What oil did you use in the diff? I have a 64 and nine has probably never been changed

GL-4 gear oil

But where does the new differential fluid go?

The new diff fluid goes in through the fill plug opening. That’s the first plug I removed to make sure we would be able to fill the diff back up after it was drained. Hope this helps!

Don´t oil sitting in a gearbox, for 30years like making gaskets and bearigs bad? not so good english... but dont it wear down stuff inside engine? Brake fluid then? and cooling fluid? Please Answer me im really curious :D

I know brake fluid as well as coolant can pretty corrosive. When I got the car, the brake fluid had long leaked out from the master cylinder and the Corvair is air cooled so no coolant.
