How to change PH2.0 Plug to Betafpv BT2.0 Plug on your 1S Lipo

Maybe this video will help someone to make the step from JST PH2.0 connector to Betafpv BT2.0. Or to the GNB27. I would recommend it to any advanced pilot looking for more power and precision. Personally, with my high power flying style, I probably won't be able to get away from it. I just like the consistency that the BT2.0 brings with it. And of course the power that I urgently need. However, for a beginner I would recommend sticking with the PH2.0 (PH2.0 solid pin on the drone) simply because there are more batteries to choose from on the market.
UPDATE 27.4.23:
With BT2.0 compatible plugs from GNB are available! (A30 connector). And Lipos from GNB with this A30 connector. The A30 connectors from the Lipo are compatible with the BT2.0 connector on the drone. But GNB A30 Plug from the drone side is not compatible to BT2.0 Plugs. That's why you should install BT2.0 Male Plugs on your drones.
Unfortunately, GNB names its plug genders exactly the opposite of most other manufacturers. At GNB you look at the housing. And with most other manufacturers on the pins (male) and sockets (female).

Good Power WITHOUT BT2.0? Would you rather stay with PH2.0 but you still want good power, relatively low voltage sag and good flight time for your outdoor whoop? Then I recommend you (as of today 31.1.23) a 75mm whoop with 1002 19000kV-22000kV motors (soldered directly to the FC)

Thank you! I hope it helps someone.. Yes its very boring. But with a little bit of music and after some practice it is ok to do (at least for me)🙂When soldering, I try to imagine how great I can fly with it later. This helps :-)

Really like your content and the quest for the best tiny whoops ! I land here trying to find out how you've got those light batteries (under 6 grams!) with a direct BT2.0 in your recent videos ? My guess is for Tattu 220mah or 250mah PH2.0 that you modified yourself right ? If so, is it the same approach as for pigtail connectors like here ?

Thank you my friend! Yes Tattu 220mah 45C with selfmade BT2.0. It`s quite hard to do. Especially if, like me, you want to reuse the plastic caps. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. Better like what angry don did with his 65mm sub 15g tiny whoop. He soldered a small cable to his tattu 220mah. You gan search for angry don fpv and World lightest 14g mobeetle 6 -20g AUW FPV drone freestyle Moblite7 6 mobula 65 tinywhoop. And you can also search this one: Starche_fpv and Changing PH2.0 connector to BT2.0. Hope this helps. Happy flying!

Okay I figure out that I'm not handy enough yet for this kind of operation ! 😅now I'm gonna try first with super short wires + bt2.0/A30 plug you're right, thank you very much! Happy flying too!

I wanna know at what point this is worth it? like at what grams? cause mobeetle flies so much better when its insanely light. also seen other tests saying gb27 are better. been planning on running all 3 to self judge. what have been your findings?

I think mobeetle6 with 702 23000kV Motors and Tattu 270mah Z-Fold Lipos on PH2.0 is perfectly fine for intermediate pilots and maybe up to whooptopia pro class. But I think In the whooptopia elite class they all used 25000kV or higher motors.. And with 25000kv or higher you really need BT2.0 (and of course z-fold lipos) because otherwise the voltage sag is huge. So basically if you dont feel the lack of power in your flights, then you don`t have to change the connector. But make sure you change the PH connector about every 100-200 flights (on the drone) and that you only use solid pin ph2.0 (on the drone)

Yes Yes and Yes. But I think it is only really worth it for experienced pilots and pro pilots. And you need to be sure you fly also the best lipos. If you are beginner or intermediate it is not worth it.

@@swimbeyonder Yes thats a good point! I might have to put it this way: If you fly easy, you have more flight time. And if you really need the power like I do, then the flight time stays the same or even gets shorter because you can fly faster. (racing)
