okay this is genius bc i saw another tutorial use an EXTREMELY sharp tweezer and it scared the begeezus out of me! this thing gets scratched up so easily

I think i saw the same video and thought the exact thing 😳 The glue stick hack was really easy to be fair, just make sure to heat it for literally 1 or 2 seconds 🙌🏻👾

I did the tweezer hack thing. My tama is scratched up on the sides but not so much the screen itself. The watch band covers it up nicely. Just don't get water in it.... That's worse than the scratches

Can you make a slower video on how you heat the glue, place the glue gun and how you pull up the screw caps?? Or explain a bit further for newbies like me! Thanks!

Just heat the glue up with a lighter you don’t even need a glue gun. Or do the easy way and masking tape the screen then pull of quick like a plaster and the front clear piece comes off. RU-vid it.

This is a better method than what I did which was putting a safety pin under the middle button and pulled it up enough to get a metal nail file under and unclipping it which worked but wasn't ideal considering I broke clips on both my unis faceplates but hey it worked at the time lol. I also ordered for tinytigerink for my faceplates, the packaging is so cute and I love the designs. Edit: when I say my clips broke the plastic screen still fits on and doesn't come loose I just noticed a little plastic bit came off when pushing it back into place

You can actually easily get the plastic bit covering the face plate of with a suction cup 😂

Custom Shells When? This looks like something that could easily be swapped out using this method.

u can paint or spraypaint the shells while they are not connected to the electronics! i havent seen someone paint the back transparent shell but i dont see any harm in doing that :)

Hi. I was able to disassemble smoothly by referring to this video. However, I don't know how to remove the last front panel and skin sheet. It's hard and hard to remove, but won't it get scratched even if I use force? I would be happy if you could tell me! thank you.

Hi, the screen should just pop out from the back, which will the allow you access to remove the faceplate 👾

It shouldn’t no, I only melted the glue stick enough to be tacky, enough so it covers the screw cap and makes a good seal 🙌🏻👾

Yes! I was also scared about taking everything down and saw someone on insta live doing something a bit more simple! You can use the same technique of heating the tip of a glue stick but put it on the faceplate, a bit on the bottom to take out the plugs from the bottom part out first. Once it’s cold you can just gently pull it off of the tamagotchi, switch the paper and pop it right back in! Just put the top part first and then press around the buttons!

No, the temp of the melted glue is much lower then what would melt plastic 👾

on a scale from 1 -10, how safe is this? (10 safest) just wanna change my faceplate so much cause i dont like the color combo but im scared of damaging my tama 😭

I would only recommend attempting to change the faceplate if you, A, have the right tools, and B are confident enough 👾

I’m sorry but I’m not gonna do this to my uni. I would love to change the faceplate but it’s not worth the risk of damage. I saw someone’s Reddit post that they had damaged their uni trying to change the faceplate. Omg scary. Not for me. Looks cool though.

Careful sometimes the hot glue can melt the tamagotchi plastic

Glue and plastic have different melting points so this is unlikely to happen 👾

There's a faster way. Use the glue gun on the front. It'll take the clear faceplate off. You won't need to take the whole thing apart.

It believe its called a 2.2mm screwdriver. I just searched for a Tamagotchi screwdriver on Amazon 😊
