More great training from Max! Active Campaign shows how to make a reusable block with the unsubscribe and address variables. The block would of course be dragged over to the footer of the message. Problem is I don't think reusable blocks can be edited-only renamed and deleted. Your way is better and allows a change in the variables to follow all emails. Great job!
thank you for the tutorial, I was looking for it. Next step, maybe there is a tutorial about this from you: How can I put a link in the footer that allows customers to update their preferences? Have you ever made a video about this? I'd like to start by requiring only the name when signing up for the newsletter, but then ask for details for segmentation (birthday, interests, etc.) You know what I mean.... This would be great
Hmm... When I "hardcode" the new footer into a template and send a test, it shows instead of the standard footer. But when I use the shortcode, it only shows the shortcode, not the actual contents, and keeps the old standard footer. Is there a setting to "turn on" variables? I tried inserting an image with a variable, and it too just shows the shortcode.
