FYI, the very last step is to TURN ON the cold water supply and RO faucet lever for 10-15mins while the tank ball valve remains CLOSED to normal water stream to relieve built-up pressure inside the RO.
I tried changing my filters about 3 years aga....wasn't sure if after changing them if I need to depressurize the tank. So I will try again with some help from my husband and his trusty air gauze. Thanks, and wish me luck.
Thanks ! I usually fill the canisters w/filters installed 3/4 full of water then screw them on, maybe it makes no difference. It seems I’m back up running a little sooner. The RO water is used for my ice machine on fridge. Always a little nervous i could get air in that line but so far its fine. Any thoughts ?
I have had one of these for 24 years this is my second unit. I have a leak around the top of filter on it about a 1/2 a quart a day. I’ve purchased new o-rings from apec and the lube and it’s still leaking
