This must be for a V6. I came across this video when searching for a 2.4l video. Finally found out from the dealer that you just remove the airbox and intake tube and there is the starter. So glad mine 2013 isn't like this. Good on you and I died on how you got more and more descriptive with your adjectives. HAHA!
Did you happen to make a video Shawn or find one that does what you described to replace the starter? I need to change the starter on my daughter's 2013 2.4
SHOW ME HOW STEP BY STEP PLEASE. I can’t learn or figure it out if everyone keeps throwing the camera in different positions of the car. I need to see the whole process to get an idea.
Yeah took me 2 hours.... first found a better video...then got a glass of tea took a nap....removed air box.....and TB...got hot so took a cold shower....came back took starter out..put new one right in.....had more tea. Played a game of cards.....put everything else back. Done 2 hour 10 min.....never again was so hard.....
At the start of video you said this was a Dodge 200, but the title of video says its a Chrysler 200. Can you varify for me which it Is? My mechanic is doing one to my 2012 Chrysler 200. Thankyou.
Good luck man. This is the easier route compared to the other videos out there. Checked out a couple of these other guys and theyre taking off axles and way too much stuff.
It was my first time working on this car. The whole entire job was a pain in the butt. No videos of it. Had to just work on it trying to figure out where everything was etc. Good for you if you did it in 45 min. Bet you watched this video for tips. I highly doubt you did this in 45 min though. Just maneurvering the starter in and out trying to place it would take that long especially if you had nothing to go by. You're welcome though.
