How to change time on a Fitbit 

In this video, we look at how to change the time on a Fitbit. A Fitbit Charge 2 and an iPhone 6s were used in this video. However, the process of making the changes on your iPhone/Android device then syncing your device should work for Fitbit models including the Alta, Blaze, Charge 2 and 3, Ionic and Versa.
Sometimes the time can go wrong on your Fitbit for no real reason. This has happened to me previously. The Fitbit app says it's syncing and is set to the correct time zone, but the time is not updating correctly on your device. It could also be that you’ve been travelling or clocks may have changed for daylight saving. We’ve just been on holiday, but the time did not update on my Fitbit when we returned. It can be really frustrating. A simple thing but which can prove hard to fix. Today I’m going to show you how to change the time on a Fitbit so that the time updates correctly.
In order to change the time successfully on your Fitbit, you'll need to do the following which is demonstrated in the video (demonstrated using a Fitbit Charge 2 and iPhone 6s). These instructions should work for iPhone users as well as Android users apart from point 6 which is different as noted below.
1. Ensure that your phone and Fitbit are connected using Bluetooth
2. Next go into the Fitbit app
3. Tap the 'today' icon at the bottom centre of the screen
4. Then tap your profile picture icon top left of screen
5. Once in this screen scroll down to advanced settings
6. Firstly turn off time zone 'set automatically' option NOTE: ANDROID USERS TURN OFF THE AUTOMATIC TIME ZONE OPTION
7. Tap the time zone line - a list of different world time zones will appear
8. Choose a totally different time zone to force your Fitbit to reset the time
9. Once selected tap the back arrow top left of screen
10. Tap the same left arrow a further two times to get back to the original which shows your stats. - activity, heart rate etc.
11. If you have an Iphone, pull the screen down to syncronise. If not, you can sync. in your account settings section or how you normally sync
12. Check the time on your Fitbit, it should reflect the time of the time zone just selected
13. Repeat the above i.e tap your profile picture icon top left of screen
14. Once in this screen scroll down to advanced settings
15. Tap the time zone line once more and select your time zone from the list given
16. Once selected tap the back arrow top left of screen
17. Tap the same left arrow a further two times to get back to the original which shows your stats. - activity, heart rate etc.
18. Lastly, if you have an Iphone, pull the screen down to syncronise. If not, you can sync. in your account settings section or how you normally sync
19. Check the time on your Fitbit, it should now reflect the time in your timezone.
Should the above have not worked,
If the above process has not worked through forcing your Fitbit to adopt different time zones, including your own, and you have a Fitbit Charge 2, it would be worth restarting your device a couple of times to see if this will change the time successfully. Restarting your Fitbit device turns it off and back on, but without deleting any activity data. If you have a device other than Fitbit Charge 2, please carefully consult the relevant instructions and guidance on how to restart your device.
