I do start this 5 minutes rule and the results are amazing My 5 minutes a day; 5 minutes to wake up earlier (to my wake up time) 5 minutes of reading Bible 5 minutes of ME TIME 5 minutes of reading self motivational books or any self help book 5 minutes of prayer 5 minutes of writing (journal, budgeting, others 5 minutes of cleaning (any where in the house ) 5 minutes of any form of simple exercise
the timing of this! I started a couple weeks ago to do a "555" morning routine as I call it. 5 minutes of stretching, 5 minutes of meditation ( your morning meditation actually!) and 5 minutes of journaling and then maybe 10-20 min of reading, it makes the biggest difference in the morning!
Ohhh I love this! I'll definitely try this out with 5 minute stretching, 5 min mediation, 5 minute Journaling then 10-20 min reading then I love to do a 10-20 minute of 80s workouts by Jane fonda and Bess Mota which is so fun and amazing!!
1) 5 minute rule. Do the task just for 5 mins.stop it if u want. Just 5 mins. It helps to overcome difficulty of starting. 2) journal.what are you looking to cultivate in life? 3) 5 minutes of meditation a day 4) cleaning for 5 minutes at a time. 5) reading 5 minutes a day. 6) 5 minutes of movement(dance, stretch) 7) planning next day for 5 minutes a night before 8) 5 minutes of visualization(3 priorities+self care activities)
A few weeks ago I decided that I would be more intentional about my daydreaming because I do it a lot! I decided that whenever I catch myself daydreaming I will visualize a day in my dream life. I decide on what I'm going to be doing for the day and I even pick out an outfit from my pinterest board. It's actually pretty fun lol.
Years ago I used to spend time at night visualizing what I wanted the next day to be like. I was amazed at how well that day would go. At the time I'd never heard of that. But I remember it working out really well. I need to start back doing that. Thank you for the reminder. ❤
I always felt that I had to do everything today and end up doing nothing I always thought of doing cleaning, mediation but I always waited for the right time. But the time I started this habits is the right time I started journaling today. 💗Lots of love.
Way to go! Journaling has helped me so much. Bit of advice, in case you need it like I did, let it be imperfect. That is you space to think and grow, that can be messy and even inconsistent. Sometimes I go over a month without writing but I’d never go back if I hadn’t accepted that. I hope it helps you like it has for me💕
Hi Aileen. I have been following you since 2015 and you have literally changed my life and mindset. Please make some videos for students. Your videos are so helpful, your tips are really effective.
❤I am really loving this 5 minute hack❤ There are just those days where my mood isn't the best & I think I could really try this. When facing procrastination for whatever reason we need grace, and a little softness. Our expectation of being high performers can really weigh us down so this hack allows space to push past mental barriers
Thank you for this Aileen! Been neglecting myself for work and series of deadlines. I've been called by my body to reset my sleep pattern (slept for 9 hours lol) which I didn't regret doing and I felt energized. Next i'll reset my routines to live a better lifestyle and 5 minute baby steps truly matter. 🥰
I use the five minute rule when I'm REALLY struggling with PhD motivation. I honestly don't even dislike working on my PhD-it's just so hard to get started sometimes. So, I force myself to commit for 5 minutes,, and usually that gets me in the zone for the next two hours. But it's surprisingly hard to actually just start. I've heard the Japanese recommend the 1-minute rule, but I think that's best saved for forcing yourself to clean things you hate or other such tasks 🙃
Thank you so much. The two main problems I have now are procrastinating everything till last minute and home being messy all the time. I’ve been struggling with those for my whole life. I will start applying your tips today.
Great tips better than that great necessities find the strength and courage to implement them every day u most definitely see and more importantly feel the effects

Hi...I'm bonna. I'm one of Your viewers.I'm from Bangladesh. 🇧🇩 First of all, I actually don't know that if you would read my message or not.But still there is always a chance of passing so I would like to try. I'm not so fluent in English. So,please excuse my mistakes. I'm now 21. Right now,I'm feeling lost.My parents & my friends are not ready to hear me. Even if they hear me,, they would give me some advice that is not relatable with my problems. So, I couldn’t share it with anyone else. I consider you as my elder sister. So, I'm sharing my problems on your latest video. My biggest problem is my fear. It’s something that I couldn’t figure out why. I have a fear of speaking in front of people. Sometimes, I get so nervous that i start stammering. It’s quite intolerable. I can't take it. People Don't have the patience to hear me as well. They just laugh at me. Even my own friends. I always fear that i can never pass an interview in my life. It’s my biggest fear. It’s same for presentations. When i think about it my heart beats like crazy. In this situation how can i manage? I really have no idea that why am i like this! I also fear new things, changes in my life. I just want to be in a corner & not being the spotlight. It’s something that when i try to talk it’s the first thing i think about. It’s irritating me. I wanna be confident in my speaking capability, presentations & everything. But i don’t know how should i do this? All the time I'm just scared. I'm even scared when it’s something new topic or something that I've never done or experienced in my life. So what should i do sis? Please help me!!!!! I'm going crazy.💔💔💔 #lavendaire

Loving all your videos Aileen. There are times that I listened to a particular videos twice or thrice..Your content are so valuable even your old videos are still so valuable I really love your content.. I have been your fan for 4 yrs now..I look up to you in so many ways..
Great video! What you choose to do in those 5 minutes you have here and there has the potential to change your life. To whoever's reading this: Aim for PROGRESS, NOT perfection. I know "consistency" is great, but don't get caught up "chasing streaks" and give yourself a hard time when you fall off the wagon every now and then. Simply brush off the dust, stand up, take a deep breath, and put one foot in front of the other. IT'S OKAY NOT TO BE 100% ALL THE TIME. Expanding into that better version of yourself takes a bit of time and effort. You got this! :D
omg watching this I realized something. When I'm still 8~18 years old, I remember that before sleep I always visualizing my ideal future self doing a routine and really paying attention to balancing the things in life, I've done that not because I already aware how good is the result of visualization but I've done it just because I like it and in order for me to fall asleep. Nowadays, when I'm already an adult and get busier, I realized that I no longer visualizing before sleep, because usually social media distract me until I fall asleep, I read before sleep or rather I just fall asleep in a sec because of tiredness...but my day was already planned the night before, I consistently following my morning & night routine and paying attention to balancing all the things in my life. I still can't believe that I actually already improve myself and reach the visualization the younger me made. This feels amazing and powerful. Oh I wanna cry...visualization and the habits mentioned in this video really worth it! I think I wanna start visualizing again
Hey Aileen... Thanks for existing❤🔥 You are a life saver of many people out there. I've a video request. In one of your videos regarding self love and self worth, you have mentioned about how dependant you were on your boyfriend during your high school and college days. We know that you are strong and independent now. Can you share some specific tips that worked for you to overcome the over dependence you had on your boyfriend? Thanks in advance my dear 💕
Thanks for this Aileen! I already do most of the habits, but want to also incorporate the 5 minutes of cleaning/tidying, since that sometimes gets put on the back burner. Thanks for the inspiration!
it sounds amazing and interesting that visualisation is the name of what I did in a day. I usually take some time to think about my dreamlife, I mean think about who I want to become, where I wish to travel, and the new skill I would like to try so that I can gain new experiences which make my life fantastic more. Visualizing helps me a lot to be aware of what I need to do right now in order to meet all of my wishes and motivate me so much.
Could you please create a video for not being afraid to make mistakes? I have an Atelophobia and I have no clue how to heal it.I always consider about others' opinions, and I don't want it anymore.I'm willing to overcome that fear as fast as I can.
Hello! I have been out of the country for a month or so...feeling at a loose ends and now what? And of course, you show up on my feed and once again, you provide the best recommendations to help me re-kick start myself again! Thank you! You are a blessing in my life. Cheers
Such a helpful video, especially now in times when our attention is stretched thin across so many tasks/areas of life! Thank you for creating this video Aileen - great stuff! 😍
