I visited Erskine Seminary in Columbia, SC and I was like a kid in a candy store. The library was full of books; such as the works of John Owen, John Calvin, and Hebrew and Greek bibles. Nothing excites me more!
Thank you so much for such a clear explanation! I'd say Amen to it. These days, many students are being swerved in the stream of liberal theology even not recognizing that they are being dyed to that.
I’m not sure someone at OnePassion will see this, but: When Dr. Lawson contrasts rifle vs. shotgun seminaries, would he be willing to give some schools in both categories? I went to SBTS, which may have been slightly more shotgun style.
I wonder, what is the diferance between Presbyterian and Baptist? I love Lawson, and the Puritans, i study my Bible, and im about to look for a Bible school if God wants me to, im just curiouse as to what the diferance is
Ones baptize everyone while the Others baptize only confessional christians. Both believe in the covenant of grace. Ones believe the covenant of work still exists.
I suggest The Master's Seminary of John MacArthur. It's very conservative. You can also check Biola Univ. - Talbot School of Theology. I heard it's also conservative.
The answer lies in the statement of faith of the institution. If the college is liberal and not reformed, usually this is the kind of school where theology is studied in general involving the belief system of other religions. Seminaries are also the same. So the best place to study theology is a school or seminary that has a reformed statement of faith (Gospel-centered, Jesus is Lord and Savior, 66 books of Bible, Bible is inerrant, infallible, sufficient and the only authority, believes in the Triune God, church is the assembly of believers).
@@PopoyDominguez Which is the best Seminary or University for Intercultural Studies / Missions ? I need help to choose a PhD program in Intercultural studies.
This didn't sound like a masters seminary commercial... he sounds very open to other schools... i would just like to know what some of them would be...
God will never call a Man of God to a Seminary and then place a financial yoke upon the neck of that same person. If it's God's will it's God's bill. Never borrow money. Remember Proverbs 22:7.
Agree, these are money making scams in the name of God, Don’t you feel it strange that the pastors are only getting rich and gaining influence in the world! Didn’t Jesus say if we are part of him the world will hate us . This is a management system and our kingdom is not of this world. Pls read Pagan Christianity by Frank Viola
I’m not being sarcastic by any means but let’s just say I’d like to be a preacher but I like to drink beer can you still drink beer and be a preacher I just drink one on a hot afternoon I don’t drink until I puke I stopped that a while ago
